It all started as a simple traffic altercation between motorists, but almost turned deadly when the man took out his gun in the heat of the confrontation with a woman motorist.
In a Facebook post shared 538 times as of Friday afternoon, Sa Ngalan Ng Gobyerno Facebook Page reposted the video of a woman claiming the encounter with a gun-toting man traumatized her daughter.
According to the woman in the video named Catherine, she was visiting her mother Wednesday afternoon, accompanied by daughter Chinna when they encountered a traffic accident she denied any knowledge.
“Suddenly, this guy went berserk,” reads the post. “He took out his gun despite the election gun ban.”
To make the story short, a couple of brave guys intervened and the gun-wielding man was arrested when the police arrived.
Later, the woman learned from the police that the gun was loaded, cocked and ready to fire. “I learned later on from the police “Na nakakasa” yung baril at loaded ng mga bala! When he pointed the gun at me! Isang kalabit Lang Nya sa gatilyo” would have been fatal,” read the post.
GUY CLAIMED HE IS A MEMBER OF THE PHILIPPINE NAVY
Catherine, the woman complainant, said that the gun-wielding man kept on bragging during the confrontation that he is an enlisted man in the Philippine Navy.
But yesterday we learned that he is not a member of the Phil Navy … His wife is the member of the Navy and the gun is the service revolver of his wife.
The woman complainant wondered how the guy brazenly wielded his gun despite the election ban. “On why the gun is in his possession? That I don’t know. He will have to answer that in court!!!,” the woman said.
The gun-wielding citizen is identified as METHUSAEL B. CEBRIAN, and he is facing 3 cases Gun ban (Omnibus election Code), Grave threat and RA 7610 (Violence against women and children).
The woman complainant wrote that she started recording the video as soon as the man took out his gun.
Sir sisikat ka na! I will upload the video which I recorded when he pointed the gun at me and the rest of the people in the compound … I will fight for what is right! No amount of money could compensate the trauma, mental anguish that my daughter is experiencing right now…
In fairness to the other party, the audio was lost in the first few seconds so we really can’t tell who’s telling the truth.
But one thing is certain, the guy lost his cool when he took out his gun, knowing there is an election gun ban.
Di ba GUN BAN na ngayon? Kahit ano pa man pinagaawayan nila dapat wala baril or HINDI DAPAT maglabas ng baril… Hinuli pala siya dahil sa violation tapos pumapalag at nanakot kaya siempre lalaban yung mga staff para depensahan yung mga tao sa paligid… tsk tsk tsk(Video from Ms.Catherine)This man pointed a gun at me and my daughter Chinna last Wednesday afternoon because of a traffic incident "na Wala nman ako alam" My daughter and I were there to visit my mommy Gilda but this guy suddenly went berserk!!! There is a gun ban because of the coming elections …. Now he is in jail! My daughter was traumatized and will undergo therapy sessions starting tom. I learned later on from the police " na Nakakasa " yung baril at loaded ng mga Bala! when he pointed the gun at me! Isang kalabit Lang Nya sa gatilyo" would have been fatal!!! The name of this guy is METHUSAEL B. CEBRIAN, who kept on bragging that he is a an officer of the Phil. Navy!!!
