Amidst recent drop in Duterte’s net satisfaction rating in latest SWS survey, La Salle prof offers advice to Duterte

The news media giant ABS-CBN News announced on Twitter that Duterte’s net satisfaction rating sheds 18 points – based on the latest SWS survey result.

Depending on what side you are in the political spectrum, the news has been met with mixed reactions on social media.

La Salle History professor Van Ybiernas took to Facebook offering his two cents worth on how President Duterte should take the latest SWS survey result.

It read: “Expect the opposition to be even noisier with the dip in the president’s ratings. Hahaha.

My advice to the Duterte admin would be:

1. Stop engaging Trillanes who has mastered the art of trolling. Walang buting dulot ang pagpatol sa kanya. Trolling lang talaga yan.

2. Stop with the impeachment nonsense towards Aling Conching whose term is going to end next year, and Sereno who is in the minority in the SC anyway. But Andy Bautista’s must continue.

Mabuhay!”

Netizen Fidel Obiña Sosa echoes Ybiernas sentiment.

Netizen Elgin Clavecilla remarks: “Good points Prof. Van. Trillanes is to oust PRRD from Malacañang. I am asking because he (approving authority) plays a key part in allowing Sen. Trillanes to troll/heckle PRRD using “so-called sources” na mga questionable naman. Hindi pa ba aware ang Senado na alam ng mga mamamayan na fraudulent yung mga statements ni Matobato, hearsay ng hearsay naman yung kay Taguba, and flimsy excuse naman yung reason para i-put on the spot si VM Pulong (Mr.Trillanes said i-google tatoo ni VM Pulong).”

Netizen Christopher Balaba also agrees with Ybiernes. However, he raises a good question here. “Problem sir is who will highlight their achievements? The mainstream media is determined to do its job of being a fault finder.”
