Yesterday, Secretary Coloma of the Presidential Communications Operations Office released an official statement dismissing the ‘Tanim Bala’ incidents as an isolated case.
How about the balikbayan boxes of returning Filipinos from overseas being raped by the NAIA Customs employees Sir, is this an isolated case?
Recently, the son of a Filipino returning from overseas posted the pic above on his Facebook account and wrote:
fetch my dad from NAIA today. muka lang po basurahan yan pero ang totoo po ay balikbayan box po ng tatay ko yan
Fetch my Dad at NAIA today. Looks like thrash but actually, this is the balikbayan box of my father.
Reactions of Tan Seng’s friends:
Kunan mo picture all angles, share natin para makita sa FB kung Gano ka galing yung airport manager na bata ng nanay niya. (Get all the angles in the picture; let us share this on Facebook so that people will see how competent the Airport Manager really is; the favorite pet of the President’s mother.)
hindi ko na nakunan ng ibang angle, nagka hiwahiwalay na ng buhatin ko. (It’s not possible to get another angle. The balikbayan box disintegrated when I tried lifting it.)
One friend asked if something’s missing from the balikbayan box:
May na dale ba ?
meron konti mga small items wala naman masyado halaga, kaso lang mga pasalubong sa mga bata. (Yes a few were missing but mostly the little things that don’t cost much. Sadly, those were pasalubongs (gifts) for the kids.
Another friend butt in and wrote:
Magpapasko na. Sa mga kahon ata nila kukunin ang pang noche bwena, pang aginaldo, pang porma ng anak nila, pang pulutan ng tropang sunog baga, atbp. (Christmas is coming. They will get their supplies for noche buena, exchanging gifts, kiddos blings and finger food for beer time with friends.
Do you believe overhauling the NAIA management will do the trick and stop the various anomalies in NAIA?
