Baste Duterte’s thought provoking message to his father’s critics – President Duterte – draws mixed reactions on social media

While Sebastian “Baste” Duterte’s image has been that of a care-free, skirt-chasing, surfing and rock star dude, little did the public know that this guy makes sense than some of our politicians.

In an ambush interview with CNN Philippines, Baste Duterte urges the pro and anti-Duterte’s to set aside their politics and instead worked as one for the good of the country rather than waste their energies fighting one another because this is not productive.

So ano ang punto nuon?

Netizen Letitia Hay also agrees with Baste’s message: “Kasi karamihan sa Philippines inggit! Ayaw umangat ang iba. Tama o hindi ? Be honest to yourself!

Basti Duterte.is right. Open our heart and mind to maturity like Basti
Duterte.

I read other Comments, sorry to say; all there are, is emotional! Circus!

Looking forward like Basti is positive outlook to a bright future.

My message to most of people are, say nothing if you are in emotional moment. Look at what ‘materials’ (law word) to base your reasonings.

Trillanes is almost always want peoples sympathy. Just like the way those students Aegis JVris attitudes showed in the senate. (Horacio’s case)

Nagbibinta ng NEWS.

As far as I am concern, President R. Duterte is doing a marvellous job. For all peoples benefits. Give him peace as he work for you and me.

Think folks. Remove bitterness in your heart. These bitterness is poisonous. It is like addiction. It can hallucinate you. Stop stressing others and yourself. Thank you for reading.”

Netizen Lei Daza-Mumin echoes the sentiment of Baste’s message: “tamaaa sya hindi komo tatay nya ang pangulo ng bansa kundi lets act as one n cooperate.lahat tayo pinoy dito, tyo tayo din makikinabang sa maayos na bansa at tayo tayo din masisira kapag nagsisiraan tau .. set aside politics at personal interest, hindi nakakatulonv..yung iba jan ngawa ng ngawa nagmamagaling e wala naman nagagawa sa bayan, puro dakdak lang..”

Meanwhile, some netizens took the chance to troll Baste Duterte.

Miguel Chua says: “Please tell your father to stop the killing, stop harassing those who criticise him, stop embarrassing the country before the international community, stop the drug by arresting the big druglords like your brother, and sign the waiver.”

Asuncion Avestruz remarks: “Tell that to your supporters na nagkakalat ng fake news para galitin ang mga tao. Tell that to those who say bad words and threaten others or wish them to be killed or raped.
