No report if any ransom was paid to the bandits.
Marites Flor was the lone Filipina abducted in Samal Island on September of last year together with 2 Canadians and a Norwegian.
The two Canadians were beheaded recently by the bandits after the self-imposed deadline by the group expired and their demands for ransom were not met.
The Norwegian hostage, Kjartan Sekkingstad is presumed alive and still being held hostage by the Abu Sayyafs.
It can be recalled that the Duterte camp has started backchannel negotiations demanding the release of the remaining hostages.
In the meantime, government forces have also intensified their operations to pressure the Abu Sayyaf to release the hostages.
