There were shouting and more running while sirens coming from the ambulance and police cars can be heard in the background rushing towards the area of the explosion.
The Davao City bombing yesterday night resulted in the deaths of 14 people, sending several people to the hospital for various injuries according to the PDI article posted at around 5 AM.

If you know your recent history, Davao City has always been a target of bombings whenever there is a intensified military conflict in Mindanao perhaps the state enemies’ diversionary tactic to ease the pressure from military offensives in their mountain lairs.
In April 2003, the Sasa Wharf bombing in Davao City killed at least 15 people and injured many bystanders and well-wishers in the Davao port.
A month earlier, the Davao City airport was rocked by a bomb explosion killing at least 20 people. The two incidents were attributed to the MILF in retaliation for the devastating war the Estrada administration launched an all-out war against the rebel groups.

Meanwhile, President announced to the reporters that the police already have an interesting lead on the perpetrators but he refuses to divulge more details to avoid giving away important information that might jeopardize the police follow-up operation.
