A post blasting the Duterte critics, who called themselves human rights advocates, moralists, and public servants has been doing the rounds online.
Facebook user identified as Mark Lopez vented his frustration via a post recently, apparently fed up with the criticisms and the bickerings pestering the Duterte administration at such an early stage.
The message of the post perhaps resonated with his readers so this explains the post generated 4,359 shares and counting as of Tuesday evening.

In a nation full of hypocritical rightists, pretentious moralists, and deceitful public servants, I’d take a foul-mouthed, uncouth and disgusting president anytime of the day, including Sundays and Holidays.
And I actually don’t care if I am labeled a tard or be lumped in the same mold of that man, I am taking comfort in the distasteful words and action that he is spewing against criminals, plunderers, traitors, oligarchs and all those who betrayed the public trust. I am relishing every curse, every accusation, every revelation of wrong doing.
Because deep within me, I am cursing and accusing as well. Because whenever I look around, I see the effect of neglect, of ineptitude, of pure rhetoric and hollow accomplishments, of empty promises, and plain callousness.
I am tired of all the bullshit of politicians pretending to be statesmen when they are nothing but plain plunderers. Evidence? Just look around – traffic, crime, urban decay, dilapidated infrastructure, floods, long lines, migration, poverty, inequality, and waste of resources.
And I am so wary of pseudo crusaders, fake thought leaders, pious pastors and deceptive opinion makers. They who impose their version of what is true or what is right are no better than trolls or mongers.
And due process is a catchphrase that is ideal in utopia. In our real every day living, it is nothing but a shield of the powerful against the powerless, and a cover of cowards who cannot take responsibility for their action. In our world, “due process” is the tool of sly and savvy lawyers from elite schools to play around and make a mockery of real justice.
We have had due process for decades. What it did is make the rich richer, the poor poorer, and justified the injustice.
I did not vote to look for perfection, for decency or to exalt a presidency. I voted for a leader who recognizes what my country has become, and change it to what it should be. A leader who is emphatic of what people have endured and suffered for so long, and wants to act on it.
A leader who is willing to kill and be killed, just to clean up the mess that incompetence and greed left behind for so long.
We have suffered far more than we have to as a nation.
Enough is enough.

Very well said! I hope these hypocrites and greed of power and money have shame but i don’t think they do, these are like cancer that already spread in the country and i hope that the present administration headed by Pres. Duterte have enough will and strength to treat these illness. More power to you Mr. President!
Very well said Mark Lopez, I couldn’t have said it any better. The Philippines had seen enough of how due process kept the real criminals on the streets wreaking havoc to the country time and time again. This is not to imply that due process is to be disregarded altogether forever. This is the time to cull the evils that have long thrived in the country for decades.
I offer this to the ‘honorable’ public servants of San Jose Occidental Mindoro
Oh God! Occidental Mindoro… So unfortunate that this island province has been plundered terribly by its local leaders. I have been here on several ocassion and I really weep on the manner ny which this province was managed.
aaThis is perfectly true and impeccably said.Even the media failed this country, all of Duterte critics are responsible for what we are today. They did plunged this nation in a black abyss of misery and instead of apologizing to Juan Dela Cruz, they continue to pertinaciously antagonize justice just to cover up for their indescretion. My wish is for the great majority to rally behind the President through a peaceful nationwide assembly and show the world that we approved of the President’s reforms and unveil to the world who are the real enemies of Philippine democracy.Afterwhich, urge the President to declare revolurinary government to render inutile all the effort of these insignificant groups and personalities, that are truly incongruous to justice and fastrack our most desired change..
The silent majority has already spoken when Digong has won during the election process. Why can this minority of what they claimed themeselves as “matatalino, makatao, makabayan”
just shut their mouth up? They had their “moments” already.Tama na! I am praying for the Duterte’s government that it may surpass these myriad of tests. It has been said that pen is mightier than the sword, and so thru social media such as the FB, we can show support to the Duterte Government.Mabuhay kayo!
Very well said. I agree with you. People especially the oligarchs in this nation doesn’t want a real change that our Beloved President Duterte is proposing. These hypocritical rights, pretentious moralists and deceitful servants were spending money for non-sense things. We have to save this country from these people for the better future of our young generation, the powerless children. And i pray, God save and bless the Philippines!
WELL SAID SIR,, I’m WITH YOU AND
PRESIDENT DUTERTE ALL THE WAY
FOR MY COUNTRY WHICH IS BEING RAPED BY THOSE CORRUPT AND DRUG LORDS PROTECTOR IN PHILIPPINE GOVERNMENT,, I HOPE THEY ALL ROTTEN IN HELL
Well said!..the country has been fooled for so long by the yellow army…
We already found a true leader our new president , I’m thankful that we have a president who heartedly willing to die for us, in wiping out all evils in our land..Ill prayer for his safety..
Thank you for such a truthful and powerful message. We need to support this honest and courageous man in his quest to rebuild the country. Let’s all pray he survives his presidency for the sake of our country.
I saluted you sir for being brave and straightforward, just like our president. . . i do hope that these hypocrites can read and reflect for themselves what WE, Filipinos would really want our country to become… GOD BLESS PRES. DUTERTE! GOD BLESS THE PHILIPPINES!
I share your views sir. Enough is enough. This is our only chance at real change. I am praying for our beloved president for his safety, and all who are fed up with this pandemic drug problem, may God protect us all from harm.
Year zero, by the Kramer Rough leader was Pol pot. He was successful to emplement it but only for a short time. Here the individual mind has to be blank no feelings, family unit is gone, all are workers of the state etc. That was Cambodia then.
Hypocrisy and non-hypocrisy if there is any have to be in us, just like the good and bad humans amongst us. Where do we go from here?
My suggestion is seek the middle path, religion and other system of belief is still deffective all man mad and there are still hypocrisy there. Wars and misunderstanding are abundant as we know from past and present.
Seek that middle path then there will be victory from the self and eventually towards our fellow man. It is very easy to do it, ask me. Love for all
I hear you. I hope the other readers will not dwell on the ‘typos’ though. Instead, world history shows us that our very realistic fear for the potential of abuse that can get the better of any human delegated with absolute authority is reasonable. The Khmer Rouge may be one of the extreme examples, but genocide in general has proved quite tragic, especially for those wrongly caught in the purging. History also shows us repeatedly how easily a good intention, implemented too passionately & violently & with absolute authority, can get terribly out of hand sooner or later. Violence supported ideologies & agendas are very dangerous & always risk losing long term focus. It’s an old story. Ceausescu, Marcos, etc. started out good & went awry. These are the moderates & Pol Pot being one of the true extremes along with Adolf. The solution to the outrage of injustice & repression often isn’t found in anger & violence, sometimes it gets worse. Most ardent & headstrong leaders are willing to die in battle, this is nothing new. Beware that absolute power devoted to methods of violence & purging does not corrupt this zealous leader as all humans are susceptible to it especially through a prolonged & lengthy exercise & execution of absolute power & ability. It can blind men & the most staunchest of good intentions quickly esp. if the person is prone to resorting to violence to begin with. Though this seems to be the only solution available that could fix many of the ills of the country & put an end to the complacency, it cannot become the standard of policy thereafter. It must be recognized as a highly desperate measure that is urgent & necessary until things become acceptable, but it’s the people that must change ultimately so succeeding government appointees will carry on the same attitudes. Remember, the people who come into seats of government & authority are a direct reflection of the pervading attitudes of a society.
And then again, in what real world utopia would you find it any ideal governmental situation, it doesn’t exist quite simply because the majority of people in the world are alike – a collection of egotistical & violent bullies, greedy self centered characters, argumentative malcontents & passive bystanders. There will always be something to complain about because it’s the nature of the people that give rise to the problems. Just live wise & try not to get yourself too involved in it if you value your well being.
This is just a voice of reason & caution…
To put it simply, the population’s prioritizing many other things over their lack of conscience or deeper humanity is the problem.
What kind of solution do you present when you force violence to clean up the problem you collectively caused, to eradicate ‘people’ already or presently involved with the problem & wipe the slate clean once more only to have the problems rear its ugly head later on & having to repeatedly clean it up violently from then on. People will always have problems because people cause problems. It’s in the quality of the people that you to look into to alleviate any problematic situation. Violence offers nothing but violence & fear, not real change. That comes from the willingness of the people to change themselves. To be willing to be enlightened. You cannot solve every problem bluntly through sheer violence because nothing really changes within the people concerned. It accomplishes nothing but violence & it creates great risk of undeserving casualties & abuse. It’s like any one of you killing a really bad criminal offender on the street in the style of some lawless cowboy town in the old wild western frontier of the past. You kill one asshole, it doesn’t change anything much really, seeing as how 10 more assholes are born every minute. We must focus on people, that they grow up being a genuine good guy & not the outlaw in the black hat.
A typical scenario follows that later on, that when you differ in policy to someone who has grown into an absolute powerful & violent leader, you might get violently dealt with.
Most of Filipino know what is PHILIPPINES THIS TIME EVEN THOUGH WE ARE LIVING ABROAD WE ARE STILL CONCERNED EVERY FILIPINO LIVES THAT EVERY ONE CAN LIVE NORMAL AND ENJOY THE MEANING OF A BLESSED LIFE. FrREEDOM FROM POVERTY BY SHARING, DISCIPLINE WITH RIGHTEOUSNESS THROUGH IMPLEMENTING PHIL LAW FOR EVERY FILIPINO NO EXCEPTION, JUSTICE WILL IMPLEMENT FOR EVERYONE. Well done ” Sir WE NEED MORE PEOPLE TO SHARE WHAT IS THE TRUTH. HOPE GOD WILL INTERVEN AND MAKE CHANGES THROUGH OUR NEW PRESIDENT AND HIS ADMINISTRATION AND REMOVE THOSE EVILDOERS FOREVER! GOD BLESS YOU SIR AND ALL THOSE WHO PRAY ND WORK FOR GOOD.
I have listen to the 2- day Senate Inquiry to the EJK, and it has open up our knowledge and wisdom on who among our Senators / politicians who are keen and have the love of country. We can only find maybe 1, 2 or 3. Most of them are just “grandstanding”. They may have a right words or explanations but we can only surmise that it has shallow impact considering that they are veteran politician with less action and implementation of the law that they have been crafted for so many years. Hypocrisy- so sad.
I am desperate and almost ready to give up. How can anyone be blind with the situation we’re in?
And yet when we are looking at something positive happening in merely two months, I hear a lot of judgments and prophecies which are unbelievable to say it kindly. This article brings me soothing relief.
Profoundly expressed in a nutshell Mark Lopez, hats off to you. But you and I can only educate and try to lead the way but it is up to the Filipinos who would want to grow up and educate themselves. We can share our thoughts for a better tomorrow, beat our brains and grope for the right words to say to make these Filipinos understand what we are trying to tell them. There is a difference between wanting to learn versus refusing to learn. I rest my case.
MY F**KING THOUGHTS, EXACTLY. Salamat, bro!
Very well said Mark Lopez! Through my 67 yrs. so far Duterte is the only President who is sincere in his desire to affect the needed changes in our country. I was amazed that drugs have reached every province and the smallest barangays in our land. How many drug addicts do we have in the Phil? How many children, wives, parents, neighbors, friends, etc. have to live in fear, danger, and violence?
I thought our country and our citizens are doomed to fall apart. But Duterte gives us hope. We see a better and brighter future ahead for our children. Let Duterte win this battle. He needs us to support him, let us be his strength to affect the changes the Phil. needs. May God Help Us!
Yes correct years past and its only now that we have a President who took our country seriously with love willing to die for the Philippines.
Take care President Duterte.
Evils have many faces and colors. Watch out for those who pretend to be good in the eyes of the people. I rather take the side of the President who cursed but save the lives of innocents and cleaning the crooks in the government, than the person who said all good flowery words but crook and stealing what is for the Filipinos.
KUDOS MR. MARK LOPEZ … YOU SAID IT ALL!
Couldn’t be said/written in a better way, kudos. Here we have a leader with so much passion doing his darndest best to reverse the the situation of a country which is in near shambles and yet the hypocrites who had their time in governing are creating stumbling blocks. They do not want this country to progress from the quagmire they created, they do not want this president to succeed as it would put them to shame for incompetence and lack of national patriotism. Now that we are seeing a small headway, the Yellow bastards are trying very hard to pull as back with the help of their media lackeys, religious backers, political allies in congress, and most of all, the oligarchs that control the wealth of the nation. These are powerful enemies of change, they may be few but the resources at their disposal cannot be matched by us ordinary Juan dela Cruzes. What we have though is a platform where we can voice out our frustrations and opinions and support for the president, but is this enough? I agree with people who say that a “show of force” is necessary to project our unequivocal support for the president, a simultaneous rally throughout the country with PTV4 coverage will stem the tide in our favor and the president. Let us unite and show our indignant protest against all these “wolves in sheep’s clothing”.
I’m sure there is another better way of ironing out Philippine’s Drug Problem.
The Phil’s drug problem can only be likened to an infection caused by untreated illness. Treating only the infection doesn’t treat the illness. We should start from the bottom of the causes of the problems.
Let’s start from the basic problem: Poverty encourages people to use or sell drugs, Unemployment causes poverty, poor economic policies cause unemployment, the existence of blind loyalty causes people to accept whatever economic policies are set up by our leaders…….therefore the basic problem of our society is “Blind Loyalty”and to get rid of this problem we don’t kill drug users/drug dealers.
There are always two sides of a story. Let us be fair 🙁
Go Digong your the answer to all those problem and hoping you’ll
be guided in all your task especially
on these drug bust.
Very well said, and i am very very agreee with you bro
True! A President who has the guts and balls to fight all levels of evil in a country raped by trapos and corrupt govt officials, criminals and only one who gave the PNP the long lost respect and recognition back on their well being!
Go lang ng go, Mr. President. Huwag mong intindihin ang mga inutil na pumupuna sa iyo. They are bunch of yellow tard idiots pretending to be moral but deep inside is a monster and followers of Satan. Let them rot in hell.
Very true! Well said Sir!!!
Very well said. It is indeed a valid observation on what had been our country going through under the yellow administration. When I was in Singapore I always envied the way of life of their people. They can go home late at night without fear of being robbed or murdered. You can go places without having a car. There is no traffic and pollution. I had been hoping that one day the Philippines can have a President who have the guts and the will to transform our country into a Singapore like state. And my hope was not in vain. I saw it in Pres. D30. I am always praying for him that the Lord God will continue to give him the wisdom in making the Philippines a better place to live not only for this time but for the next generations.
MARK LOPEZ. I WOULD LIKE TO SAY THAT I FEEL EQUALLY OR PROBABLY MORE FRUSTRATED THAN YOU ARE BUT I CAN’T PUT IT ANY BETTER OR EVEN HALF AS PRECISE AS YOU NAILED IT SO I’LL JUST GIVE YOU A THOUSAND THUMBS UP. I STAND WITH YOU COMRADE.
Excellent observation Mark Lopez. This is the real truth.
Go Mr. President, do what you have to do, am sure thise who voted for you are very thankful to what you have done in just a very short time. As to Gen. De la Rosa, we salute you sir. You are very right, kawawa mga pulis natin and their families. Do what you have to do, support our beloved president. Jail the pushers and the criminals. We feel a lot safer now even to walk at night. Better to hear criminals are dead , instead of our policemen and soldiers. GOD BLESS YOU ALL
We need more of your kind of thinking who truly cares for his nation and its people.
God bless you Mr. Mark Lopez!
I agree with you, Mark Lopez. You said it all. These ‘self-righteous’ critics of President Duterte I can liken to the pharisees in the Lord Jesus’ time. The Lord said to them, ” Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother’s eye and pày no attention to the plank in your own eye? How can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ when all the time there is a plank in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye.” (Matthew 7:3-5 NIV). I am praying earnestly and unceasingly for President Duterte. God sees his heart with its pure and sincere intents and motives. And God will expose the hearts of those hypocrites who assail the President’s war against drugs, criminality and corruption that permeate this country. Because God’s Word tells us, “Nothing in all creation is hidden from God’s sight. Everything is uncovered and laid bare before the eyes of Him to whom we must give account.” (Hebrews 4:13 NIV). And His Word shall always come to pass. God bless you, Mark Lopez.
I salute you, Mr. Mark Lopez! No one could have said it better. God bless you. God bless President Duterte. God bless the Philippines.
If it’s retarded mentality that we’ve been suffering for so long from the constant corruption of governance & society, this new policy of outright violence & purging is equally as retarded if not more. So many people are labeled vigilantes for wanting swift justice & personally, I despise the manipulative BS that comes out of due process anywhere it’s found in the world. But until somebody comes up with a better solution it was once said, we better stick to it.
Violence & extra judiciary execution is not a better solution, it is no solution at all but a problem everywhere it’s been implemented. It’s been tried many times before, with poor results, which is why the rest of progressive civilization has since moved away from it. If you live under a society who has done away with due process & human rights concerns, you openly risk yourself like everybody else to the risk of injustice & probable execution from people who might accuse you of grave crimes wrongly or by
mistake. You give people who you have mistakenly or accidentally slighted, injured, insulted or conflicted with, the right to set you up for punishment without benefit of diligent defense because there exist no process for it but a kangaroo court if any at all. You’ll be lynched within a few seconds if a uncontrollable, hysterical frenzy & outrage overtakes people’s good senses before the facts like its happened
many times before. It’s going to be wild open country where everyone just executes their own version or interpretation of justice. False accusations will abound, people will use it conveniently to settle scores, vent rage & contempt, prejudice, malice, vengeance & personal disagreements & arguments by it. Do not believe that the majority of people in a society are so enlightened that they won’t. The reality of the world of humans have repeatedly proved otherwise. Which one person is to have the Godly right to decree how heavy a penalty should be for particular crimes? A lot of people will claim that right because there no unified consensus. If the leader accuses you mistakenly & marks you for death, you’re dead. If the leader
changes his mind & starts killing people for transgressions like involuntary manslaughter or for gun possession or buzz driving or abortion, a lot more will die. If he extends that to involvement in pornography & prostitution, more than half of the men in the country will die. You get the picture. We have to take a fair amount of
due process despite it’s very ugly side simply because it’s necessary for the management of society in this day & age. It’s the ugly side of it & the laws which we should look to amend. Not at the expense of supporting extra judiciary killing & foregoing due process of the law & the belabored process of assuring & protecting human rights- like yours & your loved ones from the possibility of threat. If the process does fails some, then it is in the revision of the system that intense efforts & power of change must be focused on, instead
of creating another, in a historically long line of, human culture thriving on fear & violence. It cannot bring all the corruption to the surface over night, but societies that have achieved great change do it so progressively & conscientiously over a period of time because nothing good can change by brute force in a day or two. You must put your anger & impatience in check as a truly responsible human being must try & get yourself
out of a very negative & reckless killing mode. No rash, rampant, wholesale killing & punishment, no matter how much deserving a lot maybe, is truly responsible, wise & enlightened. Don’t let the tide of emotion, distress & anger or outrage get the better of your higher humanity & understanding. Don’t let it speak for you entirely.
It will come out as violence & will come back to you as violence – this is the vicious nature of letting violence creep into your system & turn you into a numb, imprudent & careless person.
The process of taking something as valuable & sacred as a human life shouldn’t be taken that
lightly or casually by any other human being. No one should feel that entitled & still champion human rights & feel wholly humane & fair afterward.
Thank you PTN for sharing my post…
Great post! The face of reality . . . plain and clear!
that is a heart spewing truth of every Pilipino patriot and it paints a real face of wrath against those who lambasted the freedom of his countrymen. your message should be included in the bibliography of President Duterte.i commend.
You hit the nail hard, sir. Go ahead and awaken these hypocrites and their cohorts.
You had hit it hard sir. Continue to awaken and enlighten these misguided elements in our society
This is what i see (Opinion lang po). During the fast adminisrtrationssss…killings are scary since it is the innocent that is always the victim and it is rampant, now the killing has shifted to the bad elements specially the drug offenders and i see the people is not scared (except for the offenders and their cohorts of course). But beside this point, it is in the fast admin that drug menace flourish and slowy destruct the poor, the vulnerable, the young ones and damaging more of them each day while our government does so little in preventing it (See the bilibid issue?, ) then one day a man stood to cleanse this evils in our society and this is what i am scared of…if the people of the fast admin (who have done nothing to eradicate the rampant killing of the innocent or have cohorts with the evils) prevails in their motive to eliminate him. You see hypocrisy is at its best today and they are the ones who are so vocal about the new admin disguise as a true believer of human rights. let us therefore remain vigilant and careful in assessing what is happening now in our dear Philippines.
My thoughts exactly. Thanks for being my voice! Well said!
