A post asking netizens who are passionately against the Marcos burial to see it from a different angle is making the rounds online.
On a Facebook post, journalist Ira Panganiban politely told the fiercest critic to the Marcos burial at LNMB to pause for a second and take a look at it from a different perspective.
In the post, Mr. Panganiban told the Martial Law victims, that they are not the only victims of Martial Law. There are many who choose to move on despite their pains because in their hearts and mind it is the right thing to do.
Besides, not all Filipinos were affected by it, hence, many people cannot understand what they are fighting for in this day and age, he continued.

Bury Ferdinand Marcos at the Libingan Ng Mga Bayani and be done with it!!!
To those who are so passionate about this issue, please let me remind you that you are not the only victim of Martial Law.
There are many who choose to move on despite their pains because in their hearts and mind it is the right thing to do. Let the politicians do their job and let history be the judge.
And then there are also the many ordinary citizens who did not see martial rule as evil because their lives were not affected by it.
Do not condemn them for their experiences and decisions. They had different lives and views from yours. Your pain is not theirs and their pain is not yours. Do not be too presumptuous to claim your pain is the whole nations’.
Besides, do you not see the impact on history if Marcos was buried at the Libingan Ng Mga Bayani?
A purported dictator and criminal forcibly buried in the midst of the nation’s heroes!!!!
Is it not such a stinging rebuke to his family and memory that every time people pass by his grave at the memorial people will say “Here lies an evil man in the middle of honorable heroes, a fool who thought himself a hero.”
What a more fitting tribute to his memory to be the most despised memorial in a sea of honored graves. And it stands there for all eternity as witness to all that he is accused of.
Or are you afraid that the truth may not really be as convenient as it has been painted these last 30-years.
He ended his post with a quote, to remind the anti-Marcos camp that there are three kinds of the “truth” in the world.
There are 3-kinds of truth. Your truth, their truth, and the real truth.

Well-said, well-written post. This should serve as a shot in the arm to pave the way for an atmosphere of genuine reconciliation among the different opposing factions of Filipinos vis-a-vis Pres. R. Duterte’s decision allowing former Pres. F. Marcos Sr.’s burial at the Libingan ng mga Bayani. Easy for me to say these things, but a peaceloving Filipino like myself could only hope and dream of a lasting peace and order in the Philippines. So help us God!
I’m not a pro Aquino neither an anti Marcos, the former president Marcos should buried at LNMB, he’s not a hero, he’s not a soldier either as per the record of the US Army, he faked his medal of valor and Maharlika Guerilla group who fought the Japanese during the war is not true as confirmed by the US Army. The former president was ousted in office by the people power because of abused of power and plundered billions from the coppers of the Philippines. He’s not qualified to be buried at LNMB, instead, he should be buried beside his mom grave as his wished before he died. The family of the former president should follow his wished and in Ilocos Norte were people adored, idolized and respected..
The former president Marcos is no hero, not a soldier either as per the US Army. He even faked his medal of valor that he said given to him by the US Army. He was ousted by the people power because of abused of power and plundered billions from the coppers of the Philippines.
Those comments are naive. Marcos was toppled down because of the Aquino who was killled by economic hitmen of the united states of america. Refer to http://www.larouchepub.com and search for economic hitmen destroyed the philippines
Very well said, I agree with you, there are 3 kinds of truth.. Your truth, their truth and the real truth. Any one can confirm or say something this is the truth etc.. In my own opinion… The late President Ferdinand Marcos has done good and bad things as well. No one in the right mind could say.. I am perfect and all I have done in my life are all pure, clean and no iniquities at all. I think he has done more good things for his country when It comes to infrastracture, economy and other things in his time … Not to mention Ferdinand Marcos was with my uncle during World War II, as young soldiers they fight the Japanese soldiers… I believe Ferdinand Marcos has to be buried in the LBNMB… Believe it or not..
I totally agree. Bury him in LNMB so we can all move on. As Ira said ‘be done with it’. There are very few left who can relate to martial law. Today’s youth probably is more reminded of Marcos than of Ninoy because of this protracted discourse on whether or not he should be buried there. Ninoy is forgotten while Marcos keeps creeping back to the national consciousness every time a new president gets elected. Bury him there and he will be forgotten too.
Under the rules of AFP, President Ferdinand Marcos is eligible to be buried at the Libingan ng Mga Bayani (LNGB). It does not spell out if he was a hero or a bad president. The LNGB is the burial home of some wives of generals, who were not either a soldier or president. How hard is the heart of those people who could not move on and forgive a dead person. Remember, not one of those allegations that he committed human rights was proven. In fact, they were all dismissed by the courts. President Marcos has done a lot of infrastructures. In fact many of these infrastructures, as compared to all other president, are being used by the protesters and ordinary people; the lung center, heart center, the CCP, the LRT, San Juanico bridgee, among others. You said, he corrupted $10.0 Billion from the government? That’s an exaggeration! How could he do that when the budget of the Phils in 20 years of his reign did not exceed P1.0 Billion/year. Move on. PNoy and other presidents were accused of corruption in government more than such an amount. Come on. You have too much time of anger in your heart. Time to release it. If you can not forgive him, how could then God forgive you if you ask it (Lord’s Prayer)? unless, you do not believe in God.
