Former DILG Secretary Rafael Alunan III of the Ramos administration discussed the successes of the 1st (3) years of the Duterte admin ahead of the President’s SONA (State of the Nation Address) in a viral Facebook post.
Alunan opened the FB post by talking about the challenges and pitfalls laid out by the Duterte administrations’ enemies that it has to overcome.
But three years later, the Duterte administration has so far scored victories after victories over the opposition who has proven to be a resilient and vicious adversary.
But despite the black propaganda and destabilization efforts, that did not stop the President from uplifting the lives of his people, thanks to the robust economy under the Duterte administration.
Anyway, Alunan wants the Duterte admin to do better in terms of asserting our sovereign rights in the West Philippine Sea through the optimal use of alternative courses of action (other than military means) such as diplomacy, lawfare and information warfare, while mitigating economic, financial and ecological risks from retaliatory attacks.
Alunan also wants the Duterte admin to spell out its plan for the next three years in addressing crucial issues closest to his heart – corruption, environment, criminal justice system and Cha-Cha (economic provisions of the constitution) and the agri-aqua industry.
Lastly, Alunan wants the Duterte admin to acquire more military hardware to properly protect ourselves against unrestricted warfare as well as conventional warfare.
Alunan ended the FB post by leaving his advice to PRRD: Keep the list of accomplishments growing for the benefit of the people, stay true to the oath of public service till the end. No matter how many times the opposition wants to unseat the president.

The campaign to unseat Duterte comes in waves designed to hammer away, wear down the opponent, and smash their way to victory through disinformation, exaggeration, slander, verbal abuse and pure concoction to smear, slash and destroy.
Another vicious campaign is underway after they were zeroed in the May 2019 elections and after their target even got higher trust ratings in the latest surveys as society’s way of rejecting them with an exclamation point.
They’ve been at this since July 2016 after their humiliating defeat followed by another last May. Clearly, they’re only after their self-interest considering that 87% repose their trust and confidence in the President which they refuse to acknowledge.
These are the ones who shout democracy but refuse to accept the majority’s overwhelming decisions. These are the ones who decry the death of press freedom yet continue to use that freedom to-date to fan hatred and hurl vicious verbal attacks.
These are the guys who peddle stats on drug-related deaths like they know it all, yet, can’t provide an accurate count nor a precise breakdown as to whodunnit:
– police shootouts (in cold blood, in self-defence?);
– gang wars (for turf; to silence, sanction or vengeance?);
– drug addicts (killing under the influence like rape-murder or to sustain the habit like robbery-murder?);
– drug overdose (suicides, overdose?).
They pretend like they know the real score, like they’re the country’s role models and keepers of virtue as the pure driven snow. They trumpet their self-righteousness around the world to remain in the payroll of their globalist masters
But they don’t care because they’re out to fool the lazy, the naive and the corrupt to gain critical mass. They scream “rule of law” and “human rights” while they assassinate character and use foul means to effect regime change.
Thank God the economy is doing well although it could do better without their subversion. Despite their obstructions, it hasn’t stopped the president from uplifting the lives of society: teachers, students, pensioners, mil-pol, farmers and crime-ridden communities. Soon, the commuting public.
The people are contented with the President’s performance. He has a long list of accomplishments since he assumed office that his enemies can’t stand to hear. Usec Lorraine Marie T. Badoy has that list. It’s an impressive list and is still growing.
Here’s the amusing part: he continues to use parodies, red herrings and preposterous statements to spite them and enjoy seeing them get enraged. And the so-called intelligentsia keep falling for it that brings to light their left brain-right brain affliction.
The left does nothing right; the right has nothing left.
However, I think the government can do better in asserting our sovereign rights in the West Philippine Sea through the optimal use of alternative courses of action (other than military means) such as diplomacy, lawfare and information warfare, while mitigating economic, financial and ecological risks from retaliatory attacks.
It would be good to hear the administration spell out its strategy and implan to reduce corruption across-the-board, restore our ecological balance; transform the criminal justice system; amend the economic provisions of the constitution to win more investments; and rebuild the agri-aqua industry.
Finally, It would be good to see us really acquire the real means to properly protect ourselves against unrestricted warfare as well as conventional warfare. That requires cultivating the right mindsets for internal security and national defense to effectively deter and defeat domestic and external threats.
The President is well-loved by the people. His political capital has grown steadily to where it is today. Keep accomplishing for the benefit of the people. Be true to the oath of public service till the end. No matter how they try to unseat you, history will not forget, the truth will prevail.
