Facebook blogger to Kiko Pangilinan in wake of statement LP will rise, here to stay: “IF YOU CAN’T MOVE ON, MOVE OUT.”

After their crushing defeat at the 2019 midterm poll, Senator Kiko Pangilinan stood defiant and remarked the opposition is not going away and will continue to fight as long poverty, injustices and threatened democracy exist.

Pangilinan said the public are the OtsoDiretso, the DNA of their campaign and credited the people as the reason of their existence.

Now that the country is facing a bigger fight, in a limited freedom, Pangilinan stated, the people gives them the strength, hope and the light to continue the fight.

Pangilinan assured the public that as long as poverty and injustices exist, he is one with the people in the fight in fixing the country.

However, Facebook blogger MJ Quimbao Reyes slams the door down on Kiko Pangilinan’s illusion that the Liberal Party is the people’s champion in terms of poverty alleviation and fighting injustices.

Reyes reminded Pangilinan that he has been around longer than the incumbent President he is criticizing. According to Reyes, Pangilinan has been holding both local and national positions in the last 20 years.

Reyes urged Pangilinan to ask himself that in his more than three decades in government, why is it that there are still many poor people?

Reyes also asked Pangilinan what had he done and hadn’t done to reduce the hunger incidence among Filipinos when the Liberal Party was in power?

At this juncture, Reyes slammed Pangilinan for complaining when poverty in the country has been here ever since.

Reyes asked Pangilinan to reflect on the thought that if the Liberal Party governed well when they were in power, no Filipinos would have been hungry today?

Reyes did not flinch and told Pangilinan that his party (Liberal) has failed and failed miserably for decades.

Reyes then rubbed the wounds on Pangilinan’s electoral defeat by stating that the result of 2019 midterm election is the undeniable proof the people have rejected their brand of politics.

Reyes ended the post by telling Pangilinan to the country a huge favor and “move on”.

Dear Mr. Senator:

Halos dalawang dekada naman (opo, halos 20 years!) in a national position bilang senador at myembro ng gabinete.

You and your political party failed and failed miserably for decades.

Do yourself and this country a favor:

IF YOU CAN’T MOVE ON, MOVE OUT.

BTW, Reyes published this on FB 10 hours ago and just a few minutes ago, Pangilinan stepped down as LP President. Whether he read Reyes’s FB post, that we don’t know.

Your reaction?
