A Facebook post exposing Sen. Bam Aquino’s flip-flopping on the issue of deportation of foreigners who violates against prohibition in engaging political activities while visiting the country goes viral.
One of the noisiest critics of Pres. Duterte is Sen. Bam Aquino.
It is not surprising if Sen. Aquino releases a statement to the media expressing an opposing view re deportation of Sister Patricia Fox and Giacomo Filibeck.
If indeed the allegation was true, let us confront the senator with SNR-260.
If you ask Mocha Uson, it appears that Sen. Aquino indeed have spoken against the deportation order.
So what is SNR-260?
According to Sen. Bam Aquino’s website, SNR-260 is a RESOLUTION DIRECTING THE APPROPRIATE SENATE COMMITTEES TO CONDUCT AN INQUIRY, IN AID OF LEGISLATION, INTO THE PROPER PROCEDURE OF DEPORTATION OF FOREIGN NATIONALS WHO ATTEND OR PARTICIPATE IN POLITICAL RALLIES IN ORDER TO PROTECT THE RIGHT OF FOREIGNERS TO FREEDOM OF EXPRESSION.
Whereas, based on international law, sovereign states shall recognize the application of basic human rights within their jurisdiction. However, international law does not impose a duty upon the states to liberally allow immigrants within their territories without any limitations. As sovereign states, nations have the right to decide who will be allowed to enter their territory or remain in the country and under what conditions; You may visit the link here. for more details.
Moving forward, the Facebook page Legal Interests Philippines asserted that indeed Sen. Bam Aquino called out Press. Duterte on mainstream media for ordering the deportation of two foreign nationals Fox and Filibeck.
On Facebook, LIP writes:
“Nakasaad sa photos na ito ang statement mismo ni Bam Aquino na pirmado niya! Ayon sa kanyang pinirmahang statement, walang karapatan ang mga foreigners na makilahok sa mga rallies sa loob ng Pilipinas! Kung gayon, Bam Aquino, bakit mo sinasabi sa media na mali ang ginawa ni Duterte na pagpapa deport sa 2 foreigners (Patricia Fox and Giacomo Filibeck) kama kailan?” Translation: As shown in the photos below, that this is the statement and signed by Sen. Bam Aquino. According to his signed statement, foreigners have no right to engage in political rallies in the Philippines. If indeed Bam Aquino, why did tell the media that President Duterte’s order to deport the 2 foreigners was wrong recently?
Netizen Catheline S. Ceriaca slams Sen. Aquino for being a hypocrite. “Against kasi sa Duterte government that’s why!!! Epokrito to the highest level yang Bambina na yan 😡”
Netizens Jernalie Dumapay says the senator needs professional help. “Bipolar? Split personality? He needs professional help.”
As of this writing, the post has gathered 802 shares, 301 reactions and 70 comments on Facebook and counting.
