Fearless netizen tells popular ‘dilawan’ blogger to stick to being activist and blogger if her definition of legitimate journalist was this?

If you have not thrown tomatoes at those in power, you are not a “legitimate journalists”?

Well, that’s how Raissa Robles, a known dilawan blogger and one of PRRD’s harshest critics, understands the job of legitimate journalists.

Robles remarked that she found it hilarious for someone like RJ Nieto pontificates about legitimate journalists, when Nieto has never practiced journalism a day in his life.

Robles was actually taking a swipe at another DDS blogger RJ Nieto, more popularly known as Thinking Pinoy who discussed in his first Manila Times column titled, “What, exactly, is a ‘legitimate journalist’?” If you wish to read it, click the link here.

While RJ Nieto may be still clueless that a dilawan blogger made fun of his Manila Times column debut, another DDS and fearless blogger in the name of MJ Quiambao Reyes has taken the cudgel for Nieto on Twitter.

Reyes tweeted back that Robles’statement is a disgrace because she’s mistaking journalism for activism and criticism.

Reyes informed Robles that journalism must be faithful to facts while activism and criticism on one’s principles and prejudices.

Reyes remarked that whoever taught journalism to Robles must neither teach or practice journalism ever.

On Facebook, Reyes further added that if Robles really want to do is to constantly throw tomatoes at the incumbent, she should stop being a journalist and just be a critic, propagandist, blogger and activist.

Reyes took a swipe at Robles by asking where the hell did she take up communication or journalism?

And the best part of Reyes’ reply to Robles when the fearless DDS blogger asked if Robles did throw tomatoes ever at the previous admin when: crimes rose by 380% from 2011 to 2014 and r@pe cases rose by 92% from 2010 to 2014.

Madam, if all you really want to do is to constantly ‘throw tomatoes at the powers-that-be’, then, for the life of me, just be an activist, a critic, a blogger, or a propagandist–just not journalist!

San kaya kumuha ng Communication or Journalism itong si Madam?

Speaking of being “constant”, did you ever throw tomatoes to previous admin when:

• Total Reported Crimes increased by 380% from 2011 to 2014

• Rape Cases increased by 92% from 2010 to 2014 (70% of the rape victims were children!)

• Riding in Tandem Victims increased by 65% from 2010 to 2013
