Film Director defends Lt. Gen. Parlade from “fascist” tag, shares anecdote why SOLCOM Chief hates CPP-NPA

A film director named Njel De Mesa has taken the cudgel for SOLCOM Chief Lt. Gen. Antonio Parlade Jr. who has been called by his worst enemies “fascist pig”.

In a Facebook post, De Mesa began by teasing netizens with the question: “Why the CPP-NPA makes Gen. Parlade very angry?” He said before they call the General “fascist pig” or accused him of disrespecting human rights of women, they should know the facts first.

De Mesa recalled an incident in Mindoro wherein a group of NPA rebels asked a favor from two Mangyan girls.

However, when it’s time to climb down the mountain, the two Mangyan grils were prevented from leaving.

For two weeks, the rebels took turns in abusing the two Mangyan girls until the soldiers came to the rescue. When they were freed, they could barely walk because of the abuse they suffered from the NPAs .

De Mesa shared another story from Gen. Parlade that deepened his hatred for the NPA rebels, and that is their recruiting technique of employing young and pretty NPA to lure young boys into joining the CPP-NPA,.

Those pretty and fair-skinned female NPA recruits parade in front of “tambays” or jobless youths in the province. This is to make these jobless youths think of joining the rebels in the hope of having pretty and fair-skinned girlfriends.

Gen. Parlade told De Mesa that this strategy was effective. The problem was, those young men managed to get pretty girlfriends but they have choices in the mountains.

De Mesa urged netizens to take note, Gen. Parlade is very soft-spoken and respectful. Even to strangers.

“Pero take note, napaka-mahinahon at magalang ‘yan si Gen. Parlade. Pati sa mga hindi niya kakilala.”

De Mesa made it clear he was sharing this to inform the public. Special mention those who judge the General like he disrespects women.

Parlade, saying he behaves like that because he can’t stomach the rebel group’s exploitation of women.
