Good Samaritan treated Scout Rangers fighting Maute militants to Jollibee Yum burger to celebrate Independence Day

While many Filipinos are contented to comment on social media as a way of showing support for our soldiers, an anonymous netizen(s) isn’t.

According to the Facebook page Scout Ranger Books, an anonymous donor sent 500 Jollibee Yum burgers to the Scout Rangers in Marawi to help them celebrate the country’s 119th Independence Day.

The OP remarked that the burgers could be gone in two bites because the Scout Rangers have sorely missed the famous  “langhap sarap” of Jollibee.

Netizens commend the good Samaritan for sharing one’s blessings to the battle-weary Scout Rangers in Marawi.

Luz Berja remarked:  “Salamat sa good samaritan na nagbigay halaga sa atin mga sundalo na itinataya ang buhay para sa kapayapaan natin lahat. You will be blessed sevenfolds by our Creator for your good deeds and concern for our HEROES. God bless you all soldiers we are so proud of you. One of you is my nephew, since day one when the war against those terrorists who invade part of Marawi City.”

Lani Cabasag  wrote: “Yes maraming salamat sa nagpa burger..and heartfelt gratitude to all the men & women who fight for the independence of Marawi..maraming salamat & amping palage mga heroes…”

Meanwhile, Dannessa Joy Gedo Cruz doubted the burgers reached the intended recipients: kaso di nman umabot yan sa mga scout ranger yung nasa war zone…kung my capacity lng ako, mkapag bigay ng food sa my man ko😢😢😢 pero lam ko magsusurvived sila kasi magaling mag maneuver ang mga scout ranger…”

Cyrus Angelo Castillo quickly quelled any shadow of doubts among netizens:Mam, wag ka mag alala umabot yan mam. Kc galing mismo yan sa isang musang. 😉”
