‘IKAW ANG MALI ANG TIMING.’ — Irate lawyer to Leni Robredo questioning timing of Manila Bay Project

So, VP Leni Robredo, the great philosopher, commented that she has no problem with the dumping of white sand on Manila if it helps in making it beautiful once again.

However, Robredo’s only problem was the timing of the project when a huge amount of money is involved, when it could have been used and realigned by the government for a more important endeavor.

Robredo’s ‘timing’ remark triggered Cebuano lawyer and TV5 host Bruce Villafuerte Rivera who wasted no time reprimanding Robredo for yet another non-sense commentary from the Vice President of the Philippines.

‘TIMING NG INA MO,’ an irate Rivera opened the FB post by borrowing one important word from Robredo’s statement to compose a catchy phrase that cusses the VP.

Rivera remarked that from the get go, he find Robredo nonsensical. And he is scratching his head because Robredo’s followers really have high regard for her.

First, Robredo issued a statement saying she does not approve the “white sand” project because it was overpriced, she feared about the effects of dolomite blah, blah. And suddenly, she changed her mind and found nothing wrong with it. Rivera called this “kaplastikan” or hypocrisy. Rivera said Robredo can say all she want, but the DENR has a good reply to her comments, rendering her speechless.

And now, Robredo is singing a different tune and questioning the “timing” of the project. Rivera can’t help but ask Robredo what is the proper of timing of starting a project. Rivera begged for Robredo’s enlightenment regarding a scheduled public works, like what to do when a pandemic strikes. He teased Robredo to teach him how to realign the 2019 budget for the 2020 fiscal year. Rivera asked Robredo if the Duterte admin follows the style of the dilawan, to give Dengvaxia during the election period to three regions with the highest number of voters? He said that’s the timing of the Dilawan.

‘Ngayon, timing na lang ang problema mo. Ano nga ba ang proper timing? So, kahit nakaschedule ang public works, huwag ipagpatuloy dahil may pandemic.

Rivera dropped a word of advice to Robredo. For example, when she criticizes, she should be ready with concrete solutions.

Rivera said matter-of-factly that the Dilawan really have no concern for Filipinos. Because if they do, they should have sat down during the budget hearing of DPWH and DENR and speak up against the Manila Bay project at the House.

In other words, Rivera accused Robredo of not being proactive enough. If what she said is true the Manila Bay project is not good and there are irregularities, they did not act fast enough.

Rivera wrapped up the FB post by giving Robredo a dose of her own medicine.

‘IKAW ANG MALI ANG TIMING.’
