The netizen claimed that the money involve was no small change. The releasing clerk must have thought she might pull a wool over the client’s eyes.
Unfortunately for the teller, the client discovered the treachery right away. How? After receiving the money, they went straight to Meralco to pay their bill.
To her embarrassment, the Meralco teller rejected her payment because of all the paper bills, she would hand over the bogus money to the teller.
Embarrassed and shocked, they immediately retraced their steps to the Cebuana Lhuillier branch to confront the teller.
To add insult to the injury, the Cebuana teller belied the accusation and disowned the fake 1K bill came from their branch. The netizen was furious because it would be improbable since after receiving the money, they did not go anywhere other than from point A to point B.
She felt betrayed. She thought that bad things like this is unthinkable for a brand that is recognizable and well-known. She thought Cebuana is immune from ‘fake money scam’ and overcharges.
The netizen was so disappointed since she has been a regular customer for a year of Cebuana Lhuillier in front of Meraclo. She said the releasing section of Cebuana are shameless or thick-faced.
The netizen posted a warning to her kababayans to stop doing business with the involved branch otherwise, they will be due for a big disappointment.
