A video report shows Vice President VP Binay pocketed billions of pesos during his tenure as Makati mayor as per AMLAC latest report.
In a video report by Martin Andanar of News5 Everywhere, Vice President Binay made billions of pesos from the construction of the Makati Science Building and Makati City Hall Building 2. In addition, the then mayor of Makati City also earned from the birthday cake projects for the senior citizens of the city.
The then Mayor of Makati deposited the money in 139 bank accounts via three companies using eight dummy accounts.
The kickback money, that runs in billions of pesos, was used in funding the 2010 vice-presidential bid of VP Jejomar Binay as per AMLAC report.
However, VP Binay’s camp claimed they are not aware of the said report. VP Binay’s camp belies the AMLAC report and insisted the Vice-President has only one bank account.
In response, Senator Nancy Binay accused the Inquirer of rehashing an old AMLAC report and issued a stern warning to the popular broadsheet and I quote: “See you in court!”
