Lawyer praises Duterte’s genius for ending onerous water contract without going to court, chides critics unsatisfied with PRRD’s efforts who risk life & Presidency

Lawyer Trixie Cruz-Angeles proudly announced on Facebook that the anomalous water contracts is now dead after President Duterte presented the new draft of the contract to the local media.

“This is how it stands right now. The anomalous water contracts are gone. Done. Tapos na.”

Angeles chided some people who made comments on social media that they were not satisfied or happy with the President’s action. Angeles blurted some unflattering words directed at critics whom she fell short of calling them ingrates for not showing appreciation to the great lengths and the risk the President went through just to deprive the billionaires of their milking cows.

“Hindi kayo satisfied? Nanyo. Our president did that at great risk to himself. He just deprived billionaires of their milking cow.”

Angeles asked the critics what the President went through to get this far though some members of his own Cabinet have expressed fear for the consequences? Of losing the legal battle versus the water concessionaires or getting sued for damages. Some said they fear for the President’s life or their lives. Instead of getting cowed, the President told them to f*ck off.

“Do you know what he went through to get just that? Some members of his own cabinet are afraid of the consequences. Kesyo baka matalo sa court. Kesyo baka kasuhan sila ng damages. Kesyo baka ipapatay si pangulo o sila. Yadda yadda. Duterte just told them all to f*ck off.”

Angeles praised President Duterte’s genius in voiding the onerous contract with the water concessionaires without even going to court. Angeles said billionaires have this tendency to involve themselves in regulatory capture or buy an entire new government to get their way. In other words, oligarchs oust Duterte and replace him with a pro-oligarchs President.

BTW, regulatory capture is a form of government failure which occurs when a regulatory agency, created to act in the public interest, instead advances the commercial or political concerns of special interest groups that dominate the industry or sector it is charged with regulating. [Wikipedia]

Do you know the genius of this? The water concessionaires have defenses. The voiding of the contract, if this went to court, could be held up for years, and given the billionaire’s tendency to involve themselves in regulatory capture they could try to buy an entire new government just to get their way. DUTERTE resisted all that. He said NO, fck you, you aren’t going to steal anymore.

Angeles assured the public President Duterte is not backing down or showing any signs of backing down from the fight. In fact, the President expressed interest in pursuing a case versus the water concessionaires even if new contracts with the water concessionaires are signed.

“Did he back down? Hell no. He did not say anything about withdrawing criminal cases. He in fact says that the new contracts without anomalous provisions are without prejudice to the continued filing of cases.”

Angeles remarked that this would not have been possible if the President is not named Rodrigo Duterte.

“Do not be mistaken. Getting this far would not have been possible with any other president.”

Angeles ended the FB with a warning to the supporters of the President that his enemies are not going down without a fight and taking him down is still on the table and make sure no one like President Duterte will ever be elected again.

“O, and even as we speak, the billionaires are spending money left and right on damage control. Of course they want their cow back. Of course they will try to mitigate this. Of course they will order their paid minions to put in all provisions to get their income back. And of course, they will try to take down this president and make sure no one like him will ever be elected again.”
