Look: Duterte wins endorsement from a big political clan in Batangas

A post by Peter Tiu Lavina of the Duterte camp announcing the endorsement of a prominent political clan in the country from Batangas is doing the rounds online.

Laurel clan endorses Duterte
According to Peter Tiu Lavina, the Laurel clan from Batangas extended an invitation to Mayor Rodrigo Duterte to visit their bailiwick in Batangas for a short visit in an apparent endorsement of the tough-talking Mayor.

According to the Facebook post of Peter Tiu Lavina, the Laurel clan has been inactive in national politics since the 1990s and instead focused their energies in helping mold our young with their administration of the Lyceum of the Philippines University (LPU).

The post says that the Laurel clan seeks an end to rising drugs, crime, corruption and poverty in the country and they believe Mayor Duterte is capable of doing that.

They have campuses in Batangas, Laguna, Cavite, Makati and in Intramuros, Manila, where Rody Duterte studied his pre-law.

Not just because they have an alumnus taking a crack at the presidency of the country, but they too seek an end to rising drugs, crime, corruption and poverty in the country. They are actually putting their money too where their mouth is by building a new campus in Davao City.

This afternoon, they have invited Duterte to meet the clan and their friends to support his candidacy.
