Manny Pacquiao’s former patron & friend tells boxing legend to ignore whispers to run for President. Read why!

Retired broadcaster Jay Sonza appeals to people to stop making Manny Pacquiao’s head round like urging him make a run for the top post to be soon vacated by President Rodrigo Duterte.

Sonza began by clarifying he is not in any way belittling Pacquiao but….

Sonza wasted no time and politely appealed to those who are urging Pacquiao to run for President to stop.

Sonza remarked that the debate is neither Pacquiao is great professional boxer or not.

That is non-debatable.”

Nor about Pacquiao’s love for his family or being a born-again Christian.

Sonza claimed he personally witnessed Pacquaio’s rise to greatness in boxing and everything and partly contributed to Pacquiao’s comeback as a boxer.

Sonza recalled the days when Pacquiao was facing problems after he was stripped of his world flyweight title and suffered a defeat in Thailand.

Sonza said he spent a fortune to promote Pacquiao’s comeback bid boxing after suffering a loss in Thailand, find better matches to help Manny regain his international and world ranking and make sure the matches were held in the Philippines to help him regain his confidence.

“I spent millions and time to help a fellow Mindanaoan by producing promoting and staging his unprecedented comeback in boxing.”

We made sure the matches were held in the Philippines to boost his confidence.”

At this juncture, Sonza laid down his arguments why he thinks Manny Pacquiao does not have what it takes to succeed as a President of the country.

“But running a boxing career is far way different from running a country, an archipelago, peopled by varying degree of beliefs and topak.

“Foreign relations is not like boxing diplomacy. Economic and fiscal. management is unlike shadow boxing. Rising from the ashes of a pandemic cannot be equated with simply standing on your knees before the count of 8.

And lastly, running a country of 110 million people in this challenging times cannot be addressed by simply handing out “balato” to lines of people.

“Ang pagpapatakbo ng bansa with 110 million population in this challenging times ay hindi lang natutugunan sa pamamagitan ng simpleng pagpila para sa “baloto o ayuda” ni Manny.

Sonza reiterated his appeal to people who are convincing Pacman he can run the Philippines like a boxer would run for kilometers a day before a boxing match.

“Please lang huwag nyo ng bilogin ang ulo ni Pacman into believing that he can run this country, the way a boxer would run 10 kilometers a day for 10 weeks before a title fight.”
