Mom who calls herself victim of CPP-NPA-NDF writes open letter to Liza Soberano & Ms. Universe Catriona Gray

An open letter addressed to Liza Soberano and Ms. Universe Catriona Gray, from a mother who called herself victim of the CPP-NPA-NDF circulates online.

Relissa Santos Lucena began by introducing herself to the two celebrities as part of the sector of women and mothers, the light of the Filipino household.

Lucena said she and her family is one of the faces of the victims of CPP-NPA- NDF and Gabriela is considered as one of the most destructive organizations that destroy the future of our children, according to government agency responsible for maintaining peace and order in the country.

Lucena made it clear to Liza and Catriona that she and many other Filipinos respect their right to speak in behalf of women who are victims of abuse. She defended Gen. Parlade, saying he does not regard them as enemies.

Lucena remarked that just like other Filipinos, Liza and Catriona have rights as Filipinos and as local celebrities.

However, Lucena reminded them both that for every rights they enjoy, they also have responsibility to lead their supporters or fans to the right path and safe from danger.

Lucena conceded that as artists, Liza and Catriona have jobs to do. Likewise, the good General’s job is to protect and safeguard all Filipinos, regardless of age and sex.

Lucena said one of the General’s job is to expose wrong advocacies and organizations that will put Filipinos in certain harm.

Lucena ended the open letter by reminding Liza and Catriona that as public figures, they have the moral obligation to know if it is right to lead their children or their followers to the organization that put them in harm’s way.

Dear Liza Soberano at Ms. Universe Catriona Gray,

Thoughts?
