Neri Colmenares, Sarah Elago & Anakbayan leaders coud be P1M poorer (plus 20 years in jail) if they are found guilty of these crime!

Tired of seeing the faces of these leftist leaders like Sarah Elago, Neri Colmenares and company who pop out of our newsfeeds or on TV occasionally with complaints against the government regardless of who occupies in Malacanang?

Well, this may be far-fetched but there is glimmer of hope under the Duterte administration that these people can be put behind bars for violating the anti-trafficking law.

Colmenares already denied the allegation and cried harassment on mainstream media claiming the cases against them are manufactured by the PNP-CIDG because there were no evidences to prove their involvement.

The complainants were none other than the mother of Alicia Lucena and a rebel returnee.

According to lawyer Trixie Cruz-Angeles, the penalty for such crime is 20 years in jail plus P1M penalty.

Nuong August 1, nag file ang PNP-CIDG sa DOJ ng mga reklamo for violations of the Anti-Trafficking in Persons Act; the Act providing for Special Protection of Children in Situations of Armed Conflict; the Revised Penal Code provision on kidnapping; the Special Protection of Children Against Child Abuse, Exploitation and Discrimination Act; and the Philippine Act on Crimes Against International Humanitarian Law, Genocide and Other Crimes Against Humanity.

Ano ang Trafficking of Persons?
