Elenita Casim, 39 years old from General Santos City, the vacationing OFW, is set to file a complaint today September 28, 2015 in Pasay Prosecutors Office against two X-ray screeners for allegedly ‘stealing’ her backpack containing equivalent to 2 years of savings, gadgets, passport and plane tickets when she accidentally left it in the X-ray screening section of the NAIA Terminal 4.
The OFW was in a hurry to catch her connecting flight to General Santos on September 23, 2015 ata round 7 PM when the incident happened.
In a complaint filed at the Police Intelligence and Investigation Division of the Airport Police Department, the incident occurred around 7 PM when the passenger forgot to retrieve her backpack after it went through the X-ray screening machine.
When she came back to ask about the said backpack, the two NAIA personnel denied knowledge of the OFW’s belongings.
However, when the CCTV footage was reviewed by the airport investigators, the two airport security screeners were seen retrieving the ‘backpack’ and place it on top of the airport X-ray machine.
Airport police investigators are now coordinating with the Office of Transport Security (OTS), the agency under the Department of Transportation and Communications that handles airport security screeners, to determine the identity of the OTS personnel involved in the disappearance of Casim’s back pack.
