This might the longest amateur video showing the fierce gun fight in Inabanga, Bohol between the Abu Sayyafs and government soldiers that surfaced online.
The 10-minute video shows the gun battle from the perspective of the bandits who were under intense gun fire from the government forces who launched an offensive the day after their presence was reported by local residents.
The shaky video tells a lot about the emotion of the individual who documented his comrades in action.
The burst of gun fire from the combatants was punctuated by shouts of Allahu Akbar from the Abu Sayyafs throughout the 10-minute video.
Based on the video, the Abu Sayyafs were armed with an assortment of armaments including M16s, a bazooka (not sure), 50 caliber machine gun (based on what I’ve heard) and an old sniper rifle.
In one instance, a voice can be heard laughing while telling his comrades that a soldier was killed in the exchange of gunfire.
In another minute, one of the Abu Sayyaf bandits, perhaps their leader, instructed a comrade to fire at a soldier he spotted from the other end of the battlefield.
The designated hitter fired several shots towards the target and then the gun went kaput.
The bandit was forced to fix his gun while the burst of gunfire echoed in the background.
The video ended at 10 minutes and 15 seconds, cutting abruptly a heart-stopping battle between the forces of good and evil.
As of this writing, the video has gathered more than 34,00 views and counting and 183 shares on Facebook.
