Last week, Senator Grace Poe called DOTr Secretary Art Tugade an under-performer for failing to solve Metro Manila’s greatest conundrum – traffic.
On that note, she asked President Duterte to find a replacement for Sec. Tugade asap.
Of course, President Duterte stood by his classmate and friend Art Tugade and ignored the noise created by Sen. Poe’s on mainstream and social media.
Why? Because Senator Poe’s ground for requesting Tugade’s removal from his post was baseless.
Remember, the mandate of DOTr does not include traffic management.
Besides, the 73-year old Tugade is Duterte admin’s best performer, with many achievements tucked under his belt in the three years of his stint at the DOTr.
Less than a week later, the tables have turned and Senator Grace Poe is now under fire on social media, jeered at and called the chairperson of the senate committee on “public disservice.” In fairness to Lopez, he did not call Poe the chairperson of the senate committee on Public Disservice. But one thing is clear, he called her a PUBLIC DISSERVICE.
Yes! You read it right. Radio host and blogger Mark Lopez called Senator Grace Poe a PUBLIC DISSERVICE.
Was Lopez correct?
In a Facebook post published on 16 September 2019, Lopez presented his argument why he made such impertinent remark versus a highly popular senator who ranked as the 2nd highest among senatorial candidates in the 2019 senatorial election.
Lopez asked social media netizens if Poe has ever made a any recommendation or suggestion to fix the issue that the senate committee she served as the chairwoman have investigated?
Lopez recalled that Poe has been the chairwoman of the senate committee on public services since 2013 and fast forward 2019, Poe did not achieve anything. As in nada, zilch, wala, nothing.

Nakailang hearing. Ano nangyari?
2017, na approve ang isang traffic crisis bill sa House of Representatives, according kay Harry Roque. Tinanggi yan ni Grace Poe, at this time, ang gusto naman nya eh i certify na URGENT ni PRRD ang Emergency Powers Act. Ulitin natin ha, 2016 pa lang, umaapela na ang Duterte Admin, and a year after, kelangan daw i certify na urgent. Hindi pa ba obvious? So hearing ulet. Ano nangyari?
2018, February eh nag press release na naman si Grace Poe, AT SYA NA MISMO ANG NAGSABI NA KELANGAN NA NG EMERGENCY POWERS ni PRRD to solve the traffic and transport problem. Ano nangyari?
