A netizen asking whether a lady senator could have won because she did something to impact the lives of ordinary Filipinos or simply because of name recall has been making the rounds on Facebook.
The lady senator earned the ire of radio host Mark Lopez, known staunch supporter of the Duterte administration, after once again she heavily criticized the implementation of the PVMIC or the Private Vehicle Motor Inspection of the DOTr, forcing the Duterte admin to backtrack.

Moving forward, Lopez took to Facebook to do a survey of his Facebook followers whether they share his sentiment that Poe won a senate seat not because she did something to impact the lives of million of Filipinos or because of her accomplishments but because of name recall.
Lopez made a bet that many Filipinos won’t recognize the name Mary Grace Llamanzares even if she’s supposedly a public servant if ?
Why? Lopez reasoned that if the senator uses the name Grace Llamanzares, the public won’t feel or see any contribution of the senator to Philippine society.
For sure, Lopez continued, Filipinos won’t vote for her because she did not make any impact to Filipinos.
However, when she carries the name Senator Grace Poe, it is easier to remember.
Lopez ended the FB post by concluding that the lady senator won because of name recall, not because of her accomplishments or contribution to PH society.

Kilala nyo ba si Mary Grace Llamanzares?
Meron ba kayong natatandaan na meron syang nagawa para sa inyo? Nagkaron ba ng impact sa inyo ang mga ginawa nya?
Wala di ba?
I bet hindi nyo nga kilala si Mary Grace Llamanzares even if she is supposedly a public servant.
In other words, apelyido lang nagdala, hindi accomplishment or contribution to society.
