Netizen blogger and radio host Mark Lopez took the liberty to share the excerpts of the San Miguel Corp. COO and President Ramon Ang’s interview with Anthony Taberna and Gerry Baja of Dos for Dos yesterday 19 September 2019 regarding the Bulacan Airport and Elevated EDSA.
In the said interview, RSA was all praises for DOTr Secretary Tugade. He urged Taberna and Baja to picture Tugade the hardworking public official.
RSA said he just mentioned Tugade about his proposal (must be referring to the Bulacan International Airport) and immediately he received a call from Tugade telling him it’s a go.
RSA continued heaping praises on Sec. Art. RSA said Tugade is a very honest person, no-bluff, but very tough and honest. You can’t say anything bad about him. He’s a very straight forward person.
RSA confessed he and Tugade often talk about airport project. He can’t say anything bad about Tugade. Very strict. RSA compared Tugade to a classroom teacher. Very honest. That is why RSA said he keeps asking himself how he can be of help to resolve the traffic problem in Metro Manila. That is why he keeps thinking what they (San Miguel) can still offer to Tugade because he sees him as someone very honest and a “doer”. Tugade is willing to do it. RSA said if Tugade isn’t that kind of person (honest) he told himself why bother and waste his time? He would travel.
At this juncture, Anthony Taberna brought up the issue of Poe asking for Tugade’s neck.
RSA responded that whoever that person, she must be very impatient because of the traffic. RSA urged everyone to give Tugade time, the chance to sit down and talk about their plans and projects, what they can offer.
RSA likened the situation of Tugade the ship captain and we are already in the middle of the ocean, and we cannot afford to make changes and he believed Tugade and his team can get the job done.
RSA said that if Tugade give him the go-signal, he promised that in 30 days, they can start the “elevated EDSA” and award the job to a contractor.
RSA then called on Senator Poe, to give Tugade a chance because he is an a very honest person. Not the PR-type of person but honest, a good man and incorruptible. The kind of person that we should learn to love.
Meanwhile, netizens have different take of Ramon S. Ang’s Dos for Dos interview wherein he showered DOTr Sec. Art Tugade with praises like very honest, incorruptible and strict like your classroom teacher.
Of course, netizen Efren Aquino said that Poe should listen to Ang’s interview it was clear to him he was sending a message to Senator Poe to go easy on Tugade. Remember that SMC was identified as Poe’s financial backer in last Presidential election.
We all know SMC financed Grace Poe’s campaign. She should read between the lines as her financier is telling her something… 😏
But some commenters aren’t taking the bait. They said Ang was heaping praises on Tugade because he was making making “bola” of Tugade because his company is keen on selling a proposal to build an “elevated EDSA”.

WHAT RSA THINKS OF SEC ART TUGADE
(Excerpts from Anthony Taberna and Gerry Baja’s interview with SMC President and COO RAMON S. ANG (RSA) re: Bulacan Airport and Elevated Walkway in EDSA) [Dos por Dos, 19 September 2019]
RSA: “Can you imagine.. Sabi nya “Go!”
Alam ninyo, itong si Secretary Tugade, matapat na tao ‘to ha. Very honest. Pero very tough. Very honest. At wala kang masasabi sa taong ‘yan. Napaka-straight nyan.
Panay ang usap namin about airport project. Alam mo wala kang maipipintas sa taong ‘yan. Napakahigpit. He’s willing to do it.
At kaya nila matapos ‘to.
Incorruptible. Kaya itong mga taong ‘to ang dapat nating mahalin.”
