#RoadRage: Shooting incident caught on amateur video; police hunting suspect driving black Mercedes Benz

A male nurse was shot twice by an unidentified gunman as a result of a traffic altercation in Cebu City at 3 AM dawn on Sunday, March 19, 2017.

A fellow motorist who witnessed the incident managed to capture the actual shooting using his camera phone and shared it to Sunstar Cebu.

According to the Inquirer report, the trouble started when the male nurse aboard a Toyota Altis honked his horn to pass by the Mercedez Benz car who stopped in the middle of a two-lane road in F. Sotto St., Brgy. Kamptuhaw, Cebu City.

The police said that the guy aboard the black Mercedes Benz got off the car and kicked the Toyota Altis.

The shooting suspect allegedly threw a punch at Ephraim Montalbo, the Toyota Altis driver, but the latter was able to parry the blow.

The Mercedes Benz driver momentarily left to retrieve his gun from his car and came back for Montalbo.

In the video, it can be seen that Montalbo attempted to go near the suspect prompting the latter to fire his gun at Montalbo.

The suspect fired his gun four times and hit Montalbo in the leg twice.

After the shooting, Montalbo retrieved his camera phone from his car and took a photo of the plate number of the black Mercedes Benz.

The shooting victim, a nurse by profession, was brought to a private hospital for treatment while the police are working to identify the suspect who fled with a woman aboard a black Mercedez Benz with plate number UWI 731. [PDI]
