Sen. Sotto’s message to James Taylor following concert cancellation: If you are not a pusher or a user, you have nothing to fear in the Philippines!

If you are not a pusher or a user, you have nothing to fear in the Philippines!

This is the reaction of the twitter account owner, purportedly belonging to Sen. Vincente “Tito” Sotto following the cancellation of the Manila concert of American singer James Taylor.

Earlier today, 10:05 AM, the American singer made the announcement of the cancellation of the Manila concert on Facebook and cited the extrajudicial killings as the reason behind the move.

“I offer my heartfelt apologies for any inconvenience or disappointment this may cause my Filipino friends but I must now announce that I will not be performing in Manila this February. All tickets sold will, of course, be fully refunded. I am grateful to my promoter, Renen de Guia, for his patience and understanding,” the American singer wrote.

He is scheduled to perform in Hong Kong, Singapore, Australia and New Zealand.

In another tweet, Sotto took a swipe at the American singer’s statement that “he loves the rule of law”….

A singer said he loves d rule of law, “kaya?” Or he loves d lure of drugs?

Sotto clarified in the following tweet that he is referring to the old drug issues of Taylor after netizens reacted on his previous tweets.

I was pertaining to drug issues ni taylor so don’t take it literally.

A netizen couldn’t help but question the legitimacy of the twitter account who has been using Senator Sotto’s name.

Regardless if the twitter account is legit, what can you say about the tweets? Please let us know by commenting below.
