Filipinos are known the world over for being a hospitable race. But sometimes, this is not good because it is prone to exploitation or abuse.
Likewise, Filipinos are also notorious for giving special privilege or treatment to foreigners and worse to fellow Filipinos who are celebrities or a popular figure.
Netizen lambasts Comelec officer for giving VIP treatment to young actress is going viral.
Such is the case of a post by a netizen that will demonstrate this flaw of the character among Filipinos. In the video, the Comelec officer accommodated an actress, allegedly Kim Chiu, at the expense of many people who were forming a long queue, patiently waiting the start of the voter registration activity in a mall in Marikina City on October 27, 2015.
It appears the netizen is not blaming the actress for getting a VIP treatment, but he is not forgiving towards the Comelec officer that made the faux pas.
The netizen could not help himself but complained against the unfair treatment of an unidentified Comelec worker. The Comelec personnel defended their action and said that they were supposed to open the voter registration at eleven A.M but the netizen countered that it was actually the Comelec that posted that the said registration will start between 8-9 A.M.
