Well, you can tell that Teddy Casino of Bayan Muna is very peeved at Krizette Chu for calling him out on Facebook, labeling him “hypocrite” and “fake” activist.
If not, Casino would have ignored Chu’s rant on Facebook.
However, one response to Chu’s jabs on Facebook with threats of suing the Manila Bulletin writer for posting a blacked out photos of his family has escalated into a full-blown social media war.
Chu dared Casino to file a case with a counter threat to unmasks Casino as a fake activist whose heart beats for the poor and the powerless but an activist who enjoys the good things in life like international trips with families, sending kids to one of the country’s expensive schools etc..
Casino replied on Facebook telling Chu that he is someone who isn’t scared of threats.
Chu took down her FB post saying she was merely making fun of Casino.
Chu then replied to Casino’s question who was she trying to scare?
Chu went on to say what Casino was really afraid of is his credibility taking a hit among the kids he’s supposed to recruit.
Chu asserted Casino’s fear is showing up at rallies and being seen as the hypocrite that he really is.
According to Krizette, Casino’s greatest fear is that those who are really in the mountains, the NPA’s, those who’ve suffered for their idealism—will wake up to this utter inequality and make him pay. For the unfairness of having their children suffer the consequences of their parent’s choice in life while his is pampered and living the good life.
WHO IS TEDDY CASINO REALLY AFRAID OF? Clue: Of course not me.
Tinanong ako ni Teddy, sino daw ang tinatakot ko?
You know who Teddy Casino is really afraid of? Why he cares so much about his image, and why he hates it that we call him out for his inconsistencies?
It’s not because he is afraid of the government, or us “trolls.” He could care less about us. The government is too “democratic” and will allow him his freedoms.
What he’s afraid of is his credibility taking a hit among the kids he’s supposed to recruit. He’s afraid of showing up at rallies and being viewed as the hypocrite that he really is.
And what he’s afraid the most is that those who really are roughing it out in the mountains—those who’ve suffered for their idealism—will burn in anger for this inequality and make him pay. For the unfairness of having their children suffer while his is coddled. That’s who he is afraid of.
I know you’re not afraid of me, a mere “lifestyle writer”, so para sagutin ka, hindi kita tinatakot, because I’m actually interchangeable, just one of many. Ano ba naman ako, kumpara sa organization nyo? Wala naman akong record gaya ng iba dyan.
You can get rid of me, but the truth is already out there, taking flight.
Happy weekend, Teddy.
