A meme of a placard-bearing NPA cadre telling the AFP to stop human rights violations has been making the rounds online unanswered until now.
Army Col. Arnold Cabunoc, also a feared Scout Ranger veteran, rained on the parade of the NPA propaganda machine by exposing the hypocrisy of the PH communist.
In a Facebook post with the title, “HUMAN RIGHTS VIOLATIONS DAW”, Cabunoc started by asking the placard-bearing NPA cadre a discomforting question .
“Aba, nag-pose ka ba sa harap ng salamin?”
Cabunoc countered by telling the NPA cadre what is the meaning of human rights violations by enumerating several examples of atrocities perpetrated by the NPA rebels for the past few years in Mindanao.
“Ito example ng human rights violations ha: Pangolekta ng bigas sa bahay ng mahihirap; Paggamit ng mga bata mula ALCADEV/SALUGPUNGAN/TRIFPPS para pang-rally; Paggamit ng mga bata as child warriors; Pang-rape ng new recruits na babae; Pangsunog ng simbahan doon sa Misamis Oriental; Pang ambush at pagpatay ng paslit sa Talakag, Bukidnon. Pagtapon ng granada sa peryahan sa Paquibato na ikinasugat ng mga bata; Pagpatay sa mga Datu na kontra NPA sa Caraga.”
Cabunoc taunted the NPA cadre in the meme to a public debate. In addition, the veteran Scout Ranger told the NPA cadre to ask for help from his fellow NPA cadres in front orgs which he mentioned, so that they can talk about the real human rights violators in public. Cabunoc forewarned the NPAs that they will be held answerable by RA 9851.
“Ano na? Sama mo cadre mo sa KARAPATAN at NUPL para ipamukha natin ang human rights violations sa lahat. Wala kayong lusot dahil pati non-state actors gaya nyong mga teroristang NPA ay maipanagot sa batas gamit ang R.A. 9851.”
Cabunoc ended the FB post by figuratively wagging his middle finger to the placard-bearing NPA cadre in particular and to the CPP NPA organization as a whole.
“Lokohin nyo sarili nyo!”
