Ateneo alumnus says Sara-Bongbong Marcos tandem lethal antidote to Opposition’s “divide & conquer” strategy to regain power

Ateneo alumnus and Davaoeno Monching Lumantas aka Monching Satnamul makes the case why a Sara-Bongbong Marcos tandem will ensure the Opposition’s quest to return to power in 2022 election is crushed.

Lumantas began by introducing “DIVIDERE ET IMPERA“, a concept in politics and sociology, which many of you are familiar with, the Latin maxim for ‘divide and rule’ or ‘divide and conquer”. 💔

“In politics and sociology – it is a strategy of gaining power by breaking up larger concentrations of power into pieces thereby achieving the aim of overthrowing a leader,” Lumantas explained.

According to him, “that is what the Opposition is doing right now. It happened in the past and they will do it again next year.”

Lumantas went on to support his hunch that the Opposition will once again use the ‘divide and rule’ or ‘divide and conquer‘ strategy by going back in time, starting from the 1992 election wherein the ‘divide and conquer’ strategy did its magic.

Here’s my two cents.

In the 1992 presidential and vice presidential elections which was the first general elections held under the 1987 Constitution, there were 7 candidates. Fidel V. Ramos won with a margin of only 1M+ votes over Miriam Defensor-Santiago. The succeeding election results were as follows :

1998 – 10 candidates, Erap won by a landslide ;
2004 – 5 candidates, GMA won with a narrow margin of 1M votes vs. FPJ ;
2010 – 9 candidates, Aquino won by a landslide;
2016 – 5 candidates, Duterte won with a margin of 6M votes over Mar Roxas.

Lumantas predicted: “In 2022, my bet is – there will be 8 candidates or more. Why?”

“Based on recent history, if there are more than 5 candidates in a presidential race, there’s a big chance the Opposition will win because of the ‘divide and conquer’ rule,” Lumantas reckoned.

Lumantas pointed out that Estrada and Aquino won by landslide when 8 or more candidates ran for President.

“Look, it happened in1998 when Joseph Estrada of the opposition Partido ng Masang Pilipino[PMP] won by a landslide against the Lakas administration bet, Jose de Venecia and 8 other candidates.

Another landslide win by the Opposition occurred in the 2010 elections when Benigno ‘Noynoy’ Aquino of the Liberal Party bested the administration Lakas-CMD candidate, Gilbert ‘Gibo’ Teodoro and 7 other candidates.”

Lumantas concluded that the 2022 Presidential election will be a battle of 8 Presidential aspirants.

“Therefore, when the bell rings for the final round next year, the following will be inside the presidential ring:

Sara, BBM, Isko, Poe, Robredo, Pacquiao, Lacson, and Gordon.”

The winning solution? Sara Duterte and Bongbong Marcos MUST unite as a team. A formidable tandem of #SaBong2022 shall guarantee a landslide win and break the jinx. 👫💝👊

DIVIDERE ET IMPERA That is the Latin maxim for 'divide and rule' or 'divide and conquer". 💔 In politics and sociology…
