Atty. Nick to acclaimed director Mike de Leon who said he is ashamed of being Filipino today: Hu u ka ba? Sa amin, isa ka lang basura!

I feel utterly humiliated to be a Filipino today.

This is the statement of veteran and acclaimed movie director Mike de Leon after realizing that Bongbong Marcos is the 17th President of the Philippine republic.

De Leon’s statement did not please Marcos supporters including Atty. Nick of the FB page Nick Nañgit – NCN Law who wasted no time and told the acclaimed movie director in Philippine cinema that if his personal experience during Martial Law was unpleasant, it does not mean majority of Filipinos had the same unpleasant experience as him.

Whatever stupid things he did during FEM’s Martial Law years was the result of his rebellious youth, Atty. Nick wrote. According to to Atty. Nick, de Leon admitted that in his youth, he was a showoff, that is why he had unpleasant experienced with Martial Law. That experience was unique to him and those who were sympathetic to the rebels because it was the trend at that time, Atty. Nick argued.

Atty. Nick said that majority of Filipinos have yet to share their good experiences during Martial Law years. They were Filipinos then and Filipinos now. And they were not ashamed to express their voice via the ballots.

If he is ashamed of being Filipino, well, Atty. Nick said, 31M Filipinos don’t care about him ashamed of being a Filipino because we Filipinos never ever celebrate for you. Who are you anyway? Atty. Nick asked. De Leon’s life revolves around a small circle in his own world and his friends. But in the world of the 31M Pinoys, he is garbage.

Atty. Nick ended the rant, telling de Leon to pack up and leave the country because we the 31M don’t give a damn!

Ang pinaggagagawa mong kabalbalan noong panahon ng Martial Law (ML) ni FEM ay bunga mismo ng iyong kapusukan. Ikaw na rin ang nagsabi na pasikat ka noong kabataan mo, kaya nakatikim ka ng hampas ng batas. Ikaw lang yun at ang ilang kagaya mo na kumikiling o nakikiuso lang sa mga rebelde.

Hindi pa nakapagsasalita ang mas maraming Pilipino na maganda naman ang naging karanasan nila noong ML. Pilipino sila noon, Pilipino pa rin sila ngayon. At hindi nila ikinahihiya ang ipagsigawan ang kanilang mga boses sa pamamagitan ng balota.

Kung nahihiya ka, wala kaming 31M pake sa iyong kahihiyan, dahil ni minsan hindi ka namin ipinagbunyi. Hu u ka ba? Sa maliit mo lang na sirkulo umiikot ang mundo mo at kinikilala ka. Pero, para sa amin, isa ka lang basura! Mag empake ka na lang, lumayas ka ng bansa, at magpalit ka ng pagkamamamayan. Wala pa rin kaming pake!!!
