It can be recalled that One Cebu severed ties with UNA of VP Binay on March 21 and decided to back the presidential bid of Mayor Rodrigo April 3, 2016, promising to deliver one million votes in the province.
“I have to be one with the family,” former Governor Gwen Garcia said.
The former Governor and Congresswoman told that PDI that she spoke with Navotas City Rep. Toby Tiangco, UNA President, and informed him about her decision last Saturday.
The former Governor said that Toby Tiancgco (UNA President) understood her decision to come out in the open to support Duterte’s candidacy.
Former Governor Gwen Garcia told the Inquirer, “Cebuanos are looking at me. I was governor of Cebu for nine years. I can’t just stay silent. My voice is a voice many seek to hear.”
Tiangco assured Garcia that she was welcome to return to the party anytime.
It can be recalled former Governor Gwen Garcia was one of the founders of United Nationalist Alliance (UNA).
It has been revealed that Garcia hasn’t spoken with Binay regarding her “leave”, but she said Tiangco assured her he was going to talk to the vice president about it.
What can you say about this development in Cebu politics?
This is a positive endorsement for duterte
One day Tiangco will also abandon UNA, not imposible , right!!!
Let everyone abandon the ship and join the.bandwagon.of Duterte-Cayetano
Yes if he realise that to support to the corrupt official like Binay can also affect to his credibility.
Garcia’s decision to support Duterte is a big big advance to reaching finishing line… mabuhay Dutertards…!!!
Yaaay! Happy to be called dutertards!
Mao lang gihapon ang mga Garcia, paling paling kong asa sila maka sip sip; kaming taga Cebu kahibalo mi unsang klasing politico sila; mga opportunista mga Garcia; natural suko sila ni Gov. Davide kay gipildi sila; pag loslos mga Garcia; Again, the natural color of the Garcia, we the Cebuanos knows what kind of power hungry they are; it’s normal they can not join with Gov Davide who defeated Garcia and ended the Garcia political dynasty in Cebu.
Last week the Sandiganbayan finally filed the P800 million malversation and corruption case Against Gwen Garcia relating to the construction of the 2006 Cebu Int. Convention Center. She is now looking for a padrino in Duterte to get her off the hook.
you made the right choice gob. this is for both visayas and Mindanao!! One Visayas, One Mindanao! Duterte UNA sa balota!!!
Wow mabuhay po kau mam Gwen
But Duterte is not supporting the Garcias, The Garcias knew that Binay is not the Cebuano choice, summary lang sila, Duterte can get asa much as 2M votes in Cebu, a super solid block. Besides, Gwen is facing another graft in the Ombudsman. Its like playing chess, a good move for a bad player.
Politics is numbers game…….ADDITION…….not subtraction but these defectors must abidevthe existing values of Duterte or else disaster will repeat.
What is important now is the support of the Garcia`s of Cebu to mayor Rodrigo Roa Duterte. Go go go for the change in government.
GOOD WISDOM MAM GWEN
You made a right move, choosing Duterte to be the next president absolutely perfect. VOTE DUTERTE. CEBUANO ARE TALENTED VOTERS.
Knowing the high chances of Duterte, Gwen doesn’t want to drown with Binay…. what to do but go where the tide is going…. they should be afraid of Duterte knowing they’re building a dynasty of corruption in the government of cebu… sooner or later, they will be under the hot seat because of these…. No different than the Binays…..
Classic “BALIMBING”
A trapo move from a trapo. Nothing good will come from this.
Gwen indeed a poker face…she knows that Duterte will rule soon.Fuck off!
