British national praises President Duterte amid criticism for ignoring calls from noisy few on social media to ban flights from China

A British national has taken to Facebook praising President Duterte amid criticism for ignoring calls of noisy few on Twitter and Facebook to ban Chinese from entering the country amid coronavirus scare.

British national Malcolm Conlan said he is one with President Duterte’s decision not to ban flights from China until he got the right guidance. Conlan remarked that most of the airlines were suspending flights themselves, rendering the call to the ban of flights from China unnecessary.

I agree with the stance of President Duterte not just relying on a knee jerk reaction to ban flights from China, but to wait until he got the right guidance. In fact, most of the airlines were suspending flights themselves.

Conlan noted that many people are panicking over the coronavirus and somehow playing the blame game and even acting r@ci$t towards the Chinese because of their fondness for exotic animals as part of their menu.

Conlan remarked that the Philippines is not perfect either and some people do eat bugs ( says he sees nothing wrong with it, just don’t think people should be judgmental). He clarified he is not trying to be critical of the people he loves, but he sounded really disappointed. He told the people to look themselves at the mirror before making a mockery out of the Chinese.

Many people are panicking over the Corona virus and somehow blaming and even being racist towards the Chinese due to some of their culinary habits. The Philippines is not perfect either and some people do eat some bugs etc (not that anything is wrong with that, just don’t think people should be judgemental). Not trying to be critical of the people I love, but before some people are mocking the Chinese, maybe they should look at themselves?

Conlan said he hate r@ci$m in any form, especially in the 21st century. Neither is being judgmental of others. He congratulated President Duterte for approaching the situation in a calm and cautious manner and not showing his nerves which could jeopardize PH-China relations.

I HATE racism in any form. Racism is not acceptable in the 21st Century. Neither is being judgemental of others. Sorry to say. Well done to President Duterte for taking a measured response and not going into wild panic which could affect relations with the Chinese.
