Kabataan Party list Rep. Sarah Elago questioned how many Emergency Powers were granted to President Duterte to expedite government’s delivery of services and yet, we are still fighting a crisis because of the pandemic for the last 10 months and the criminal negligence of this administration.
Our favorite lawyer, Atty. Nick Nañgit, was livid because of Kabataan Party-list Rep. Sarah Elago’s inflammatory statement, accusing the President of criminal neglect in handing the covid-19 pandemic.
On Facebook, Atty. Nick opened the FB response by calling out Elago in an angry tone.
“Hoy, G@G@, makinig ka!”
Atty. Nick asked Elago to name a country that did not fight the crisis brought about the pandemic?
“Anong bansa ang hindi nakikipaglaban sa krisis na idinulot ng pandemya? Meron ba? Sagot!”
Atty. Nick asked Elago to name names if indeed there is criminal neglect. Atty. Nick said Elago refused to name names because she is scared. It is libelous/cyber crime. Atty. Nick told Elago that the public knows what her statement was trying to achieve.
“Kung may ‘kriminal na kapabayaan’, sino sa administrasyon? Bakit hindi ka makapagbanggit ng pangalan? Takot ka, noh?! Kasi libel / cyber libel yan! Wala ka namang ebidensiya, maliban sa ngakngak lang! At alam namin na ang itinutumbok ng dila mong matabil ay galitin lang ang mga tao, lalo na yung mga hindi nag-iisip!”
Besides, Atty. Nick reckoned, if Elago’s allegation was true, why was it she did not file a case in court? It is because, she was merely making things up.
“At saka, kung totoo ang putak mo, bakit wala kang isinasampang kasong krimen ng kapabayaan sa korte? Dahil alam mong wala naman talagang krimeng nagaganap! Nag iimbento ka lang, @mp00t@h!”
Elago’s no vote to the granting of emergency powers to President Duterte came back to haunt him as Atty. Nick, like any veteran lawyer, used it against the Kabataan Party-list. Atty. Nick asked Elago how she will respond if he will say that the government’s response was slow because she refused to grant emergency powers?
“Umayaw ka nga sa emergency powers ng Pangulo, tas ipapasaring mong makupad siya? Isa kang malaking h@ng@l! E kung ibalik sa iyo ang dakdak mo at sabihing kaya nga makupad, dahil ayaw mong bigyan ng emergency powers! Paano mo ngayon sasagutin yan?! Haka-haka? E yung argumento mo, hindi ba’t haka haka rin?”
Atty. Nick ended the FB rant by leaving Elago with a warning.
“S@L0T 3L@G0T ka ngayon sa Anti-Terrorism Act!”
