Finally, Senator Leila de Lima admits that she entered Jaybee Sebastian’s “kubol” at least once or twice while visiting the NBP during her DOJ days but wait, it’s not what you think, she clarified.
The senator confirmed the earlier testimonies of the Bilibid inmates who were invited as resource persons of the NBP congressional drug probe when she ambushed the reporters covering the Senate beat.
Once or twice yes napapadaan po tayo dun sa sinsabing kubol ni Sebastian. Pero hindi po ako tumatagal doon. At hindi po ako solo noong andun ako. Kasama ko sya, kasama ko ang ibang Bilibid officials.
However, this is in contrast of what the former Bucor official Gen. Bucayu told Rep. Veloso when he was on the witness chair the previous day, October 6.
He said he elected to stay outside while de Lima went inside the with Jaybee Sebastian’s “kubol”.
During the interpellation by Rep. Veloso of Leyte, Gen. Bucayu was pressed by the congressman from Leyte why he did not appear concerned on Sebastian while de Lima went inside the “kubol” because of the grenade attack.

Bucayu told Veloso he was more concerned with the ongoing investigation.
