A public statement issued by one of the personalities mentioned in the news report of a TV network to clear his name has been doing the rounds online.
In a Facebook post shared 3,333 times and growing, Dr. Gian Paolo D. Duterte DMD from Cagayan de Oro City published his public statement to clear his name who has been dragged into the controversy of the issue on illegal wealth hurled against survey frontrunner Mayor Rodrigo Duterte.
In the post, Dr. Gian Paolo D. Duterte states the he is the owner of the property mentioned in the news report about the alleged hidden wealth of Mayor Duterte on April 29, 2016.
The dental doctor clarifies that he bears the same family name of the good Mayor but has not established if they are indeed related by blood. The doctor adds, his family traces their roots in Cebu.
He also states that he acquired the mentioned property via a bank loan from BPI courtesy of his hard work as a dentist who has been in practice for the last 7 years.

For The Record, I am practicing Pediatric Dentist for seven (7) years and i have established regular clients through private practice based in Cagayan De Oro City. Through my profession, I was able to secure a loan from the Bank Of The Philippines Islands (BPI) to purchase the real estate property in Cagayan de Oro City, mentioned in the reports of GMA 7 and Senator Antonio Trillanes IV.
I’ve been doing private practice as a Dental Medicine Professional and have never been a politician; I Never sought any elected position in the past nor ran for public office. Furthermore, our roots came from Cebu and I’ve yet to establish the degree or any connection whatsoever on how the good Mayor Rodrigo Roa Duterte, And I are directly related.

Maybe Trillanes thinks that mayor Duterte is the only Duterte in the Philippines. Even I, have classmate & schoolmates, Duterte in Cagayan de Oro City. Their father was also a dentist. “Trillanes, get lost! Don’t make money & fame by destructing one’s good life. God is watching us.”

how can we trust the BPI now? ang tae pa naman ng mga empleyado jan akala mo kung mga sino. dati balak ko sana mag open ng account sa kanila kaya lng ang daming kailangan na identifications. Nakiusap na ako at may 2 IDs na ako (govt ID) ayaw pa rin nila, di nila naisip na magdeposit ako at HINDI MANGUTANG SA KANILA mga buset talaga. at ngayon akala ko ba mahigpit kayo mga taga BPI sa mga requirements ng mga kliente nio, bakit ang dale lng pala makakuha ng information jan sa pesteng banko nio!
