“Elitist” — Ex-DLSU Prof on #NasaanAngPangulo stunt, explains why it won’t work vs Duterte

Ex-DLSU History Professor Van Ybiernas has shared his two cents worth on the #NasaanAngPangulo critics pushed on Twitter to embarrass the Duterte administration.

Ybiernas started off by taking a jab at the Opposition and their followers’ new found taste for high standard terms of competence in governance after a Duterte became a President.

Ybiernas laughed at how the elitist behaves. “Iba talaga ang mga elitista! Hahaha.”

Ybiernas recalled the public did not expect the PNoy administration to stop Super Typhoon Yolanda on its track. He said the contentious issue was how rotten they respond to the calamity and the tragedy.

Ybiernas said the PNoy admin was akin to headless chicken at the time of Yolanda. They even forced to lower the death counts to look good in the eyes of the public and was riddled by many other scandalous issues related to the Yolanda rehabilitation.

Ybiernas reiterated that the public did not expect the PNoy admin in terms of stopping Yolanda on its track.

Ybiernas added that Filipinos were very understanding because they understand the government’s limitations.

Ybiernas said the public isn’t naive. They know when the critics are politicizing an issue or not. Unluckily for the critics, the public can see through their attacks versus Duterte admin during the #UlyssesPH that they want the President to stop deluge.

Ybiernas reminded critics not to get ahead of the public to make their own assessment of the government’s response to the calamities because they are capable.
