Erwin Tulfo slams SWS for “trust rating” report; turned out, a recycled news

The news about the bigger “trust rating” of VP-elect Robredo compared to President-elect Duterte has raised the eyebrows of online netizens.

The news was dismissed by the supporters of President-elect Duterte as pure hogwash.

A netizen, June D. Buenaflor wrote:

Mind conditioning..pera pera lang..(Mind conditioning. It’s all about money.

Matias Entero wrote another dismissive comment.

Wala ng maniwala jan ng abs nayan. (No one bothers to believe ABS-CBN anymore.)

Juvy Laurel wrote:

Sa bilibid sila nag-survey. (They did the survey in Bilibid.)

Meanwhile, Erwin Tulfo of TV 5 managed to string together a more pointed remark against the controversial Trust rating thing and quote:

Nakakuha ng 26% o “moderate” trust rating si President Rody Duterte habang 45% o “very good” naman ang nakuha ni Vice President-elect Leni Robredo, ayon sa pre-election survey ng Social Weather Stations.

SWS SURVEY: Duterte’s trust rating moderate at 26%; Leni’s very good at 45%
Paupo palang si President Duterte araw araw na may mga nahuhulin tulak ng mga droga, Etong si vice Manang Leni wala pang nagagawa at lilipat pa ng office VERY GOOD na.

Dr. Antonio Contreras of La Salle grabbed the opportunity to take potshots at the more than 100 Data Scientist who made a mockery of their claim that VP Robredo benefited from an electronic manipulation of the election results and quote:

A candidate of moderate trust gets 16 million votes while one who has a higher trust rating gets 14 million.

I would certainly think the brilliant data scientists, more so those with backgrounds in psychology and human behavior, can provide a peer-reviewed, high-impact explanation.

If you’d recall, more than 100 Data Scientist stepped up and challenged the analysis of Dr. Antonio Contreras of LaSalle and Mr. Yap of Ateneo that the election result has been rigged especially the VP race.
