The bombing occurred a week after another bomb explosion rocked Quiapo causing injuries to 14 people.

According to the initial police investigation, the bomb exploded as soon as one of the victims received what he/she thought was a package.

As of this writing, the identities of the fatalities have to yet to be identified based on the statement of National Capital Region Police Office chief Director Oscar Albayalde when interviewed by GMA News.

The injured were sent to Mary Chiles General Hospital in Sampaloc district for treatment.

In the video, a motorcycle rider can be seen talking to an unidentified guy wearing a yellow T-shirt in the street corner.

A few seconds later, the motorcycle rider can be seen backing down the motorcycle a few feet behind him.

Before the deadly blast, a few pedestrians can be seen in the video footage passing by the location where the bomb would explode and leave an indelible mark in their lives.

Seconds before the bomb exploded, a young kid can be seen walking towards the motorcycle rider, the one who delivered the package to the victim, and as if on cue, the bomb went off as soon as the young kid passed by.

The explosion produced a fiery orange glow near the ground while a white cloud of smoke rose ten feet or more above the ground.

Two members of the Manila Police District’s Explosive and Ordinance were hurt during the second blast.

The second blast happened 50 meters away from the first explosion that occurred two and half hours earlier.

The police believed the bomb explosion was the result of  a “gang war” and discounted the blast was the handiwork of a terrorist group.
