GMA 7 SOAP head writer defends soldiers amid criticism for photo op with body of Cullamat daughter

“Bakit kontrabida bigla ang mga sundalo?”

This is the question posed by GMA 7 SOAP Drama head writer Suzette Severo Doctolero to netizens after soldiers are now portrayed as villains in mainstream media and social media.

Ms. Suzette reminded the public that after the NPA rebels ran and abandoned the NPA cadre daughter of the Bayan Muna lawmaker, the soldiers had to carry her corpse so that the family can have a wake. She said if soldiers were monsters, they could have left her lifeless body there.

Doctolero agreed that some people may not agree with the soldiers posing for a photo before the corpse of the NPA cadre. Isn’t this war? Doctolero asked. If so, propaganda

Doctolero agreed that some people may not agree with the soldiers posing for a photo before the corpse of the NPA cadre. Isn’t this war? Doctolero asked. If so, propaganda is part of a war. Doctolero slapped the faces of CPP NPA by stating the fact that they are also guilty of doing this. They are just crying like a baby because the photo gave the AFP have the upperhand and a reminder to everyone that, whoever fight the state may suffer the same fate. On the Left talking about humanitarian rules, Doctolero raised the middle finger by telling them that in war, there are no rules. If there is such a rule, it is to survive. However, Doctolero made it clear she is not in favor of war because it is inhuman.

At anong humanitarian rules of warfare? Period.”

Ms. Suzette remarked that rebelling against the state is their choice, so why are they making a noise when someone from their side died in an encounter? She asked whether the soldiers cried in protest if one of their comrade in arms died? She urged the NPAs to pose for a picture in front of a fallen soldier if they want. She said the problem with NPAs, they are hypocrites.

It appears that the brouhaha surrounding the de@th of Jevilyn Cullamat has re-opened old wounds of Ms. Suzette because former colleagues and friends were victims of the cleansing and internal purging of the CPP NPA. She vented her anger by calling the NPAs “animals”.

I still remember the faces ng mga dating kasama at kakilala. Mga hayuff.”
