In case you missed it, Senator Cynthia Villar has already issued an apology after her remarks the middle class should not receive cash assistance from the government amid the pandemic angered netizens. [Link here]
But before the senator backtracked on her statement, funny guy Andrew Olivar wrote an open letter throwing insults directed at Senator Cynthia Villar.
In the open letter, Olivar wasted no time in responding to Villar’s earlier statement the middle class continue to receive salary whether they are public servants or work in the private sector, hence there is no need to extend financial assistance to them. Olivar said that during the quarantine, no one is buying from his online business, forcing him to use his funds to survive. He joked that from 205 lbs, he is now 185 lbs lighter, proof that his status as middle class isn’t looking good.
“Akala mo ok lang kami at sumusweldo? Wala kaming sweldo ngayun.
Olivar said he has been reduced to begging food from his social media followers just to survive even it was embarrassing. Day and night, he has anxious where to get food to eat, how to pay the bills and when is the pandemic ends.
Olivar remarked that it is easy for Villar say those things because she is okay.
Unlike him, he needs to sell (valuable) things just to live and survive.
Olivar said perhaps Villar may have thought that the middle class is always okay…why not try drinking plenty of water just to get the feeling you are full.
Olivar wrapped up the open letter to Senator Villar by accusing the senator of lacking empathy. In addition, Olivar reiterated what many Filipinos on socmed have labeled her family. And lastly, no matter what perfume she wears, she will still smells like soil or earth.
