Tahimik muna.

This is the sentiment of the open letter of journalist Jojo Robles addressed to Vice President Leni Robredo in response to the #PrayForAleppo campaign spearheaded by the camp of the OVP (office of the VP) on the social media.

Let us do whatever we can to help. Share to spread awareness. Let their voices be heard. #PrayForAleppo https://t.co/yv4cxcfqA1 pic.twitter.com/Mf6YIt5aTL

The journalist opened his post by pointing the obvious that the camp of the vice president has turned its attention on the humanitarian crisis in Aleppo to stay in the limelight.

Robles said the Robredo camp could not find any issues against Duterte to ride on and get the media mileage their camp is seeking.

Robles blames the Robredo camp for maintaining a full-time PR firm, mind you its not pro bono, to spearhead their media campaign.

Robles cautions the Robredo camp not to overdo their PR campaign, otherwise, the people will grow tired of Robredo and find her annoying in the long run.

Robles told Robredo to visit the rural areas and know what’s happening there and hopefully, she will understand the real sentiments of the common folks.

Robles said, perhaps, her political skills will improve and learn about compassion which the public did not see from her elitist “haciendero” partymates.

Robles said she’d better be ready in case, knock on wood, Digong is gone and her fortune will change in her favor.

Malay mo?

Robles told Robredo to reciprocate her salary as VP, roll up her sleeves and get down to work.

Robles ended the post by telling Robredo to start intervening the local issues and providing solutions to the problem of the Filipinos, not in Aleppo. Perhaps, the ordinary Filipinos will be happy of her gesture.
