“Kris Aquino, your glory days are over.” — Krizette Chu of Manila Bulletin reaction to Kris Aquino’s libel threat to TV stations if…

The Kris Aquino versus former employee Nicko Falcis saga has just turned uglier and meaner after the former has threatened TV stations with libel if they air video interviews of Falcis without her approval.

Kris Aquino’s “I’ll sue you TV stations if you go against my wishes” has been drawing all sorts of reactions, mostly flak on social media.

“Kris Aquino, your glory days are over.”

This is the emphatic message of Krizette Laureta Chu of Manila Bulletin in reaction to the news that Kris Aquino and her lawyer allegedly cautions TV stations with libel if they are Falcis interview without verifying allegations with her.

An apparently irritated Chu did not mince her words in expressing her anger towards Kris Aquino for having the gall to make such threat to TV stations if they air the interview of former employee Nicko Falcis without first consulting if the allegations against her are true.

The nerve of Kris Aquino and Divina Law to send this letter to broadcast stations and lowkey “caution” them with libel if they broadcast interviews of Falcis without “verifying” the truth with her:

“We understand that Mr. Nicardo M. Falcis II (Nicko) and his brother Atty. Jesus Nicardo M. Falcis III (Jess) are approaching various television and radio stations trying to arrange for interviews and/or guest appearances on shows with a clear intent of maligning, humiliating and destroying the reputation of our client through defamatory statements, malicious innuendos and unfounded accusations.
“While we recognize your constitutional right to free speech, free expression and press freedom, we reiterate that Libel is not protected speech.
“Thus, we caution you from airing or broadcasting these interviews without verifying the allegations or securing the side/explanation of our client.
“Every defamatory imputation is presumed malicious (Article 354, Revised Penal Code).
“Liability for defamatory statements published by radio or television may be had from the owner of the station, a licensee, the operator of the station, or a person who procures, or participates in, the making or caused the broadcast or publication of the defamatory statements.”

Chu ended the post by telling Kris Aquino something unthinkable when her brother was the Malacanang occupant and she was hailed as the queen of multimedia.

THE NERVE. They have to check with her first? May caution you talaga?

Kris Aquino, your glory days are over.

Kris Aquino’s latest tirade against the Falcis brothers has been getting the flak on social media, especially from her haters.

Benedict Exconde Isn’t it ironic that the child of supposedly “icons of democracy” wants censorship after getting into a self-inflicted controversy?

Jo Trinidad kris aquino why can’t you be like vilma santos and sharon cuneta? Make your son live a normal life wag mo gamitin sa drama mo and stop mentioning your mom and dad and your brother and your sisters nakakaumay na makita yang arte mo

Catherine Anastacio Avestruz Lakas ng tama. Sya lang may karapatan mag air ng side nya. Ano to? Ikaw na may ari ng Pilipinas? Nakow!

Rey Man Urdaneta If this stations would follow this then they are simply saying that they should not be airing things that are not yet verified allegations with the duterte administration? E mabilis pa sa alas 4 tong mga ungas na stations nto eh basta duterte admin na..

Kevin Aldwin Ledesma Kris Aquino now realizes she does not control the narrative of this story. The Falcis brothers are speaking up, and fighting her on her turf, unlike the other men in Kris’ who preferred silence than to fight her on media. It’s really looking like these are purely trumped-up charges, meant to harass Nicko Falcis.

Ana Macas Now it’s clear: the 1.2 million theft charge is to intimidate and character assassination of Falcis.
Your color have never shown brighter than now, Kris😠😠😠
