The selection of Senator Vicente Sotto III as the new senate president of the 17th Congress has raised some eyebrows and even ridicule from critics on social media.
However, Dr. Ethel Pineda, a social media blogger identified as a staunch Duterte supporter, refuses to join the bandwagoners bashing Senate President Tito Sotto on social media.
Instead, Pineda says Sotto can even be a better senate president than predecessor Franklin Drilon.
Pineda appeals to the public to give Sotto a chance to prove his worth.
Pineda said Sotto is gifted with political and showbiz savvy that served him well in the last thirty years as a politician that started as a vice mayor of QC from 1988-1992 and then as a senator from 1992-2004. Sotto was re-elected to the senate in 2010.
Meanwhile, Pineda urges Sotto to do good and prove all his critics wrong.
