Lawyer reminds Robredo’s legal counsel: Atty Mac, calling your opponent “childish”, “sore loser” not legal argument

Did you read the GMA News article published on August 26, 2018 wherein Robredo’s legal counsel called Bongbong Marcos’s refusal to concede ‘very childish attitude’?

Atty. Romulo Macalintal was quoted by GMA News saying, “A very childish attitude of an election loser who cannot accept defeat in good grace. Such statement is so unbecoming of a man who projects himself as highly capable to lead as vice president of the country.”

Macalintal further explained that he understand where Marcos is coming from because he does know who to blame for having lost in the 2016 VP election which he thought was already in the bag.

“Indeed, how could he move on when he does not know who to blame for having lost in the 2016 VP election which he was so confident of winning. At first he blamed the Comelec as a ‘co-conspirator’ in the alleged electoral fraud committed by the camp of VP Leni Robredo.”

While Robredo’s supporters may have cracked a smile after reading Macalintal’s comment hitting Marcos, lawyer Trixie Cruz-Angeles wasn’t.

On Facebook, Angeles figuratively grabbed Macalintal’s collar while reminding him that calling your legal opponent ‘childish’ and ‘sore loser’ isn’t a legal argument.

Angeles sneered at Macalintal while asking him if Robredo’s camp have run out of answers, particularly to the technical issues raised by the Marcos camp.

More so, the issues raised by the Marcos camp were backed by electoral fraud allegations by Atty. Glenn Chong in the senate oversight hearings.

Angeles further added that the Robredo camp must have feeling the pressure especially that Justice Caguioa has yet to release the result of the investigation of the Pansol outing.
