Krizette Laureta Chu aka KLC of Manila Bulletin writer can’t help but jeer at Leni Robredo who just told business leaders in a forum that her admin will veer away from car-centric infrastructure program and focus on projects that would benefit commuters, transport workers and what not if she wins in 2022.
According to Robredo, the public can expect more bus rapid transits, better service contracts for transport workers, a just transition for transport workers, protected bike lanes, bike racks, safe pathways, better bus stops and railways for our long-term needs.
Our goal is to make roads for people, not for cars.
As as soon as KLC stumbled upon Rappler’s quote card, she went straight to her back-up FB page and wrote a reaction post poking fun at the Vice President.
On Facebook, KLC wrote:
Guys, pag nagawa na ni Mama Leni yung roads for people and not for cars.
Sino sa inyo pwede ko sakyan?
KLC’s FB followers took the cue from the staunch Robredo critic and tried their best to come up with the wittiest jab at Leni Robredo to the amusement of everyone.
Roads for people. Ah wowSANA MAY SKYWAY KAMI.O kaya PLEX (People Expressway) joked another.
Roads for people walang masasakyan Huh maglalakad kaming mga ofw galing Luzon to Visayas, Nalilibog ako Inang leny said another commenter.
balak po ata nya gumawa ng overpass mula bulacan hanggang laguna wrote a commenter.
Barkers be like: Buenja, Buenja! Isa nalang lalakad na! chimed in another.
At dapat din kasi yong magsasaka sa dagat binibigyan ng araro another commenter said in a sarcastic tone.
But one staunch Robredo supporter exerted an effort to explain what the Vice President really meant.
“More bus rapid transits, better service contracts for transport workers, a just transition for transport workers, protected bike lanes, bike racks, safe pathways, better bus stops, and railways for long-term needs. Our goal is to make roads for people, not cars.”Ano ibig sabihin niyan? Roads for people = general publicCars = private vehicles.
Anong ibig sabihin? Magamit ang mga daanan para sa ikakaunlad.Yun lang Sir. Pwede natin i-equate ang roads for people = general masses or pangkalahatan at cars = private.
