Since Leni Robredo is leaning towards making a presidential run in 2022 polls, international relations expert Sass Rogando Sasot offered an unsolicited advice to Robredo, albeit in sarcastic tone, to have her own musical with matching recommendation who will play the lead role.
I sincerely believe there should be a Leni: The Musical. It would be a good campaign tactic. Since si Rachel Alejandro raw ang kamukha niya, they can use Rachel A’s songs, to highlight different moments in Leni’s life.
Sasot went on to mention some of Rachel Alejandro’s hit songs that Leni the Musical can use to describe important milestones in Robredo’s political career.
For example, in 2016 elections, “Nakapagtataka” would be a good fit. For 2018-2019, when the President’s health became such an issue, Leni can be singing “Kay Tagal” by her office window. After diretso /lost, she could sing “Ba’t Gano’n”. For 2021, as she reads survey results, she can sing “Bulag Sa Katotohanan,” then her supporters would sing “Don’t Know What to Do”
And for 2022, Paalam Na would be perfect, Sasot added.
Sasot ended the brief FB post telling Robredo’s PR team the endless possibilities to help Leni make some noise leading to 2022 polls.
So many possibilities. Again, no need to credit me.
Sasot’s post has amused 4,350+ netizens as of this writing and counting.
Netizens joined the fun and offered their suggestion what songs to include in Leni the musical.
Nung tinanggal siya sa pwesto for the second time once more, kanta siya ng “Bakit Ba Ganyan.” Nung nasa Amerika siya at binabagyo yung Bicol, bigla siyang kakanta ng “Ipagpatawad Mo”, the netizen commented.
Another netizen suggested what song Trillanes will be singing if his character is included in the musical:
Kapag sa Leni: The Musical, ito yung bagay na part na kakantahin ni Trillanes.Ayoko nang malaman paNa mayroon ka nang ibaHayaan nang maging manhid itong isipan’Di na inalam ang totooBaka masaktan lang akoHayaan nang maging bulag sa katotohanan.
Anotther added: Puwede rin isingit yung “Let The Pain Remain.
